I'm kind of glad Disney are getting a lot of stick for this release, they really need to clean up their acts on the steelbook front.

There is almost no special features on this. But by the look of the German 3 disc, there is the same non existant features. Just different formats of the movie.

Is there any copy with special features?

mine came with a nice scratch on the inside artwork (leftside) any1 else have this problem. think i might get the viva metal case instead, this steelbook feels cheap and nasty

OK, nearly a day in and (the slashed spine fiasco not with standing -3 of my 9 were damaged), I have to say I'm quite underwhelmed with this steelbook.

The embossing is not nearly as pronounced as I'd allowed myself to hope and the finish is quite cheap - was anticipating a nice dark matt finish.

Someone posted earlier about how easy it was to mark with fingerprints and have to agree - I had copy with a very unsightly 'smudge' on it, so decided to open it up and see if I could clean it up (I always open my steelbooks) - but alas it just made it worse and if anything scratched the surface of the steelbook

Sending 4 back for refunds and don't think I'll replace them..

It's not teribad, but i truly pity the poor fools who missed the £12.79 discount and had to pay the full £16.

If HMV ever get over themselves I can see a £9.99 sale in the not too distant future. :ass:

mine turned up today and whoa its got a scratch in the middle of the spine, should have just gone the shop and bought it at least that way i could have been fussy. so with the prats that open the boxes at the warehouse i think i will cancel all my orders with hmv and just go to the shop that way i should get them on the day of release and if not unlucky me.
the film is flipin brilliant by the way

I'm really impressed with this steelbook. For £12.79 no words cluttering the front or back, embossing and a new release to boot. I only collect blurays for the films, so I'm not fussed with the lack of extras. Happy days!!! Well done HMV. Sorry to hear of the few with scratches though.

Steel was a disappointment, felt very cheap, light weight feel, not like a steel metal case more of plastic. Oh well, what do you expect for a 1 disc cheap steel

At least the viva cases are heavier and feel more like metal and value.

Mine came with a scratch on the spine... sent it back this morning for a refund. Picked up a new copy in store in my lunch break, only problem is the damn security sticker on the back!

I just got off the phone to HMV customer support and the guy dealing with the call groaned a bit when I said I had received steelbooks with slashed spines. He said immediately, "it's the Avengers, isn't it" without me having to say any more, and he went on to explain that the matter had already been referred to Head Office after numerous complaints. He also said that stock for replacements was being carefully checked, and that all replacements should be free of slashes and scratches.

No info on whether Mr. Edward Scissorhands had been removed from unpacking duties in the warehouse however, so we wait to see if future releases are similarly afflicted...
