@IRON MAN I didn't ask QC related delays. I made it easy, delays in general :D
For them to pass off a QC delay as a general delay (some art cards not printed or whatever) there has to be a delay in the first place.
You said they all have had delays for their latest 4 releases, lets say. Have they really? :)

You can recant, I won't hold it against you. But you must also state publicly that Weet suck for making delays the norm instead of the exception :D

You want them to be properly disciplined? Do not charge the payments until they ship. Simple matter. I guarantee you the delays are minimized to a hault! Do what other retailers do. Charge only when it ships. Period! Otherwise, they will continue to delay as always and that is also a guarantee!

i don't believe you remake GIF't believe you remake GIF

Did FAC delay their last 4 releases? Weet? Nova? Kimchi? Blufans? CM? Wait.... let me edit that.
Does it really matter? Unless they’re going to not put them up for sale/GB until they’ve gotten everything printed and packaged, which AFACT Nobody does, they could put them on sale and say the delivery date is 6 months later and then ship it 4 months early, but either way we get it at the same time. It’s no thing like CM. And as a rule I find that it takes a long time FAC/BB (Alita anyone?). I don’t know if FAC’s Joker has been released, but the GB hasn’t shipped. Manta took a while to ship Dunkirk. 1917 was slow....the list goes on.

And all of them are better than Zavvi‘s Solo release, which may arrive someday.

Does anyone know which premiums will now be more expensive due to Brexit? I'm guessing it depends where they are sent from and where they go through? Is it only stuff from the EU that is affected?

I ordered some stuff from Holland and the shipping was double the cost it was before Christmas. Yet to see whether I need to pay duty or whatever when it arrives.
I also send packages to the USA for my brother and Royal Mail prices have gone up twice in the past 12 months and when I sent stuff for the holidays, RM said the prices will be going up again after Brexit....

May be game over for me and premiums if the same thing happens

Initially I thought it would only be EU imports that would be effected if you lived in the U.K., I assumed importing from outside the EU wouldn’t see a difference?

It's fine for Korea, AFAIK.
Probably should have asked this on a FA/FNAC/CM thread to be honest :dunno:

Short answer, they all will. FA being the exception (as they're EU), if your total order (inc shipping) comes to less than £135.

Unless companies manage to tax dodge somehow the new laws state they're mandated to charge 20% VAT to customers upfront for deliveries to the UK from outside the EU. The £15 tax free limit is now gone, as is (after a transition period) hmrc collecting tax from consumers upon delivery in the UK. VAT is applicable to every order total value, including shipping costs.

Same rule applies on EU to UK purchases, apart from we have a tax free limit of £135 in place there. If it's more than £135 20% VAT is to be charged upfront on the entire order value, including shipping. So one single slip edition per order from FAC is safe, anything more and you're likely to get taxed.

This particular WeET order is safe btw as the rules apply to sales made 2021 onwards only. Sales made in 2020 being shipped in 2021 are safe and still have the £15 tax free rule applicable, if the retailer has marked it as such for customs.

The rules are the same whether shipment is from EU or outside EU.

The 135£ limit is not for escape of VAT. It is for escape of import duty on top of the 20% VAT

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to get at there, but there is no international (outside EU) to UK retail sale amount that will be void (unless manipulated by the retailer) of 20% VAT. That's all thats applicable, regardless of whether it's £1 or £1,000, nothing else. No additional duty for direct consumer sales.

Private sales, gifts and business to business sales are different and there are varying import duty rates for shipments over £135. There are not for business to consumer sales though. Just 20% VAT, which is now supposed to be charged upfront.

Anyway, point being, the £15 import tax free limit from outside of the EU is no longer applicable. Therefore voiding the low value limit customs declaration route of importing higher value goods that Premium steelbook retailers often use for us...

So unless they find another way around it, we will be charged 20% VAT on total order values at some point in the near future. Hopefully GB's will find a way around it, but who knows...

Orders from the EU are the exception to this. Which as far as premium steel retailers go, you're just talking about Filmarena. Where the VAT free limit is set at £135 total order value.

If you don't believe me, you can go try and order from the EU to UK right now on amazon or ebay, up to £135 in value and occur no additional VAT or any other such import duty. However, go try that on amazon US or with US ebay business sellers for UK delivery, and you'll be charged VAT at 20% on any order value.

That's pretty much that.

There is no VAT free limit upto 135£ from Europe to UK .
What you are seeing on Amazon Europe is UK vat being applied to your order instead of local vat. Since those rates are similar you are not seeing much difference in a order below 135£.

If your order is above 135£ from anywhere in the world you will pay import duty even if you paid VAT.

Where have you read that? I don't think that's correct personally.

My understanding is;

No VAT or import duty due on EU to UK orders up to £135.
VAT due on all ROW orders, no matter their cost, but no additional import duty for consumer purchases.
