Mine still not dispatched by zoom. What a joke of a company. Worse than zavvi.
Cool mate. What a shame that an item that was dispatched yesterday was delivered today. Bring back the slow post lol.

Zoom are great!
To my knowledge there's nowhere else from where you can buy high-priced Criterion titles for £11.25

Regular cardboard envelope for this steelbook happily was not an issue as item arrived in perfect nick.

Card charged 08/11
Still not shipped 15/11
Emailed them 14/11 and their reply was a joke

Don't go by the account history as it's sent by Sony and not from Zoom's warehouse...If Zoom said upgrade to next day then you receive it shortly
Their reply was "You have several orders with us. Which one are you referring to?"
Despite mentioning the order number twice in the email.

Who ever replied didn't read the email...Typical of Customer Services being swamped and under pressure to reply to emails within a time frame

Very glad I got the e-mail from Zavvi that it shipped. Had been waiting on amazon.co.uk, but snagged a copy. Woohoo!

Zoom haven't got a clue, I tried to cancel a paypal order for Spiderman Homecoming steelbook last Sunday, but you can't do it online (only for credit card orders), so had to email, received 3 email replies yesterday afternoon, first one was apologising for the delay in shipping (the same one everyone here got that mentioned 3-4 day delay in shipping, upgrading to first class etc..), then another one that said it's too late to cancel as it's gone past the point to stop it (sent to warehouse), but they will offer free returns and the 3rd email was a repeat of the last one... Numpties.

And I thought zavvi were bad.

My hunch is that not one person took ownership of your email or their email client is out of synch with the mail inbox...Case of all hands on deck to clear the CS inbox :wow:

I honestly can't stop looking at this steelbook... easily one of the nicest non-exclusive steels from 2017 IMO. Even the disc art (vinyl/record) is cool!

As for Zoom's customer service... I've never had an issue with it and actually found them really helpful and quick to respond. Must admit that it's been a while since I've had to contact them though, which I suppose is a good thing! :)

I don't understand this "upgrade to 1st class BS"
On their website it says FREE 1ST CLASS POSTAGE ON ALL PREORDERS

So we are not being upgraded at all

From Zoom's T&Cs, "When will the payment be taken for my pre-order? If you have pre-ordered an item, we will take payment on dispatch. The only exception for this is if you choose to pay by Paypal, in which case the payment will be taken at the time of purchase."
Did you try to cancel by phone?
As they took the money when you placed the PayPal order they probably need to wait for the item to be returned before they can give a refund and as it had already started the dispatch process . . .
Fault is yours as the steelbook had entered the system by the time of your message and you should have cancelled sooner.

Q: Numpties ?
- Free returns & free P&P with no poxy 10 or 20 quid minimum spend threshold
- 10% discount code which isn't disabled after 5 mins
- Highly competitive prices - I mean, where else could I have bought the TREMORS 5-FILM COLLECTION Blu-ray for 9 quid last month?
A: I think not !

Pre Order saying free 1st class on website is an error

Delivery
https://www.zoom.co.uk/help/delivery
Website says for UK customers
Free UK delivery via second class post
1st Class delivery is £1.25 per order
Next Business Day delivery (Monday to Thursday only) is £5 per order

In regards to dispatch emails it can 2 days after your order has been dispatched to get a dispatch email
They had a technical glitch in regards to previous orders gone missing in customer accounts this has now been fixed to show most recent orders but might be missing older orders details from 2016

So, ordered from HMV. Arrived with scratches on the back. Sent it back in the post, ordered a new one from Zavvi as HMV had sold out.

Just received the one from Zavvi and has a paint chip on the back.

I’m sorry to rant but I’m really getting sick and tired of collecting steelbooks. It gets to the point now where I order a steelbook and worry wether it’s going to be in good condition or not.

Why is it so damn difficult? I’d understand if it happened during delivery but the chip was under the J card.

Now everywhere is sold out and I won’t be able to replace it unless I spend even more money getting one off eBay. So tired.

I have just got off the phone to zoom's customer service team.
I explained that I pre-ordered this 28/06/2017, had my card charged 08/11/2017 and the order was sent to warehouse on the same day.
To date I have not received the order or received a dispatch email.

The customer service team explained that due to an error at the warehouse and a large bulk of orders over the weekend, they are now sold out of this SteelBook.
I asked if I would be still receiving this order and they said they would have to check with the warehouse for any other stock. But I would be getting a 50% refund today and if any stock becomes available it will be sent. If no stock becomes available I will receive the rest of my refund.
As a regular customer of zoom (due to the never-ending 10% discount) I have always been happy with their service, but I feel that on this occasion they have been very poor. Not releasing orders on a first made, first sent basis, then sending daily generic email responses apologising for the delay, to then be told sorry there's no stock left.

I was genuinely looking forward to receiving this SteelBook as I am a fan of Edgar Wright's films and am truly gutted to have missed out, after pre-ordering from the day zoom listed this SteelBook. I hope that any ninjas who took advantage of this weekends discount offer and bought duplicate copies, use zoom's free returns policy to make more stock available for those who have missed out.

Rant over.
