The Hardcover 224 book or the smaller booklet is not included with the Steelbook Trilogy
I doubt they will include the smaller booklet with the trilogy steelbook as that is only with the Flux Capacitor Box Sets and possibly the USA Digibook contains pages also from the Book

The 30th Anniversary Flux Capacitor Box Sets has UK 52 pages from the and USA 64 pages selection of pages from Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History

You need to purchase the Hardcover Book of Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History (224 Pages) Separately for all the content of the book including its removable extras
It looks a fantastic book and easy decision for me to order
It will be a welcome purchase to go with my 30th Anniversary Back to the Future Flux Capacitor Box Set and the USA Digibook and Zavvi Steelbook Trilogy and Zavvi individual steelbooks

Crikey looks like I have ordered everything of the 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future
My Wallet :OMG:

The book does sound very good, and I am tempted to buy it myself. I think I will wait until more info in put on amazon. It's strange why there is 2 listing.

Wow, that's some collecting - I presume you have the Collector's Tin from five years ago as well?
While @AlienKing is the number one 'Matrix' fan I imagine you @paulboland are the number one 'BTTF' fan.
Crikey, indeed - that's about 215 quid in the blink of an eye.

I passed on the Tin back then due to the price but got the Slipcase Blu-ray Trilogy
I was hoping for a price drop but that never happened so I missed out and I would not pay the price it sells for now even though I would love it in my collection
I was more selective back then in 2010 with price it was a big factor in me deciding what to buy and I usually waited for box sets prices to drop before I purchased and most I got that way bar a few

From 2011 I started to pre order Box Sets at full price but still sometimes wait for a price drop like I did with Ben Hur and Lawrence of Arabia
If a release is very limited now and I suspect it will sell out I pre order if its something I must have and don't want to risk it been sold out

I also have all the Back to the Future Film Sountracks on Vinyl and DVD Limited Edition Box Set
So yes I'm a fan of Back to the Future

I also most likely will be getting Back in time Documentary Blu-ray from USA later this year

That's impressive indeed !
Yes, I know what you mean about the tin but I personally didn't consider @GBP 45 a bad price at the time (for all of the films plus the 'goodies').
Mind you I bought the same style 'Jurassic Park' Collector's tin for the same price and I'm sure you know what happened next - the 'BTTF' tin sold out and is now changing hands for considerably more than the initial price while the 'JP' tin cr - - - ed out and could be bought for under a tenner at various points during the past few years.
Swings and roundabouts :)

The 'Ben Hur' was a nice little package and affordable at around the 12 quid mark but I missed out on the 'Lawrence of Arabia 50th Anniversary Gift set' because I was unwilling to pay around GBP 50 for it when it came out - look at it now, silly me :(

The lenticular photo was the selling point for the Tin box for me.

I always thought that was so cool in the original film. Such an iconic image and it's really clever the way they 'disappear' from that replica photo when you tilt it.

Looks like they are now reprinting that lenticular photo to include with the new book.

The UK tin will really take some beating IMO. I'm not going to bother with these Steelbooks, I will just wait for the big price drop on the normal 'new' 4 disc set so I can get the disc of new extras and put it in my tin. Rumour is these discs are exactly the same as the ones that are already out, so no new transfers.

There goes a person with good sense who makes a very good point -
Why on the 30th anniversary of this film do we not have new Ultra HD discs to go with the new Ultra HD Blu-ray players & TVs ?
4k discs are around right now, though few and far between, and it would have been nice to have these films as some of the first in the 4K evolution for this Anniversary Edition.

The demand for 4k is no where near the demand for standard BD at this stage. Converting these movies to 4k costs tons of cash and there is no point in doing that right now. Obviously when 4k becomes the next standard, companies will in turn convert their movies to this quality.

If there are any more crowd-pleasing films that deserve the 4K treatment I'd like to know which ones plus this is the 30th anniversary of 'BTTF' and I'd say now would have be as good a time as any for the studio to stump up the cash on these films instead of releasing old discs in nice new shiny packaging. Poor show, Universal (n)
4K Blu-rays are already here for much less worthy films.
4K TVs are already here and will soon be reasonably affordable.
4K Blu-ray players are already here.
Anybody interested in film should welcome this move to better video etc.

I may be mistaken, but I'm not aware of any proper 4K release of a film on a 4K disc?

Sonys 'Mastered in 4K' range of titles aren't proper 4K movies. These discs are still only regular Blu Ray discs with 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution.

So while there may be 4K TV's and players there are no actual proper, full 4K editions of the movies for the home video market available to play on the hardware yet.

I'm thinking these will initially cost more to begin with like all formats did before it. And that the hardware isn't as mainstream yet for studios to invest in the manufacture of these discs as the market is very limited so far.

Like anything else, I'm sure we're talking a long while yet before we see this getting to the stage where HD and Blu Ray is now (with TV stations and Streaming services upgrading to provide for it also).

As the business goes, when it does eventually happen, I'm sure Universal will only be too happy to re-release BTTF again in this new format!

Do you mean UltraHD Blu-ray?
There are no UltraHD Blu-rays or players released anywhere yet, they are coming out for Christmas. Perhaps you are referring to the 'Mastered in 4K' Blu-rays? These are still 1080p releases.

Posted 5/9/14 by Webmaster:-
" 4K Blu-ray confirmed - coming in late 2015.
4K Blu-ray is officially on the way. According to Victor Matsuda, Chairman of the Blu-ray Disc Association Global Promotions Committee, the BDA expects the specs for 4K Blu-ray to be finalised in the first half of 2015, paving the way for commercial availability by the end of the year. This means we can expect to see actual 4K movies and players available in stores by Christmas next year.
Apart from the jump to 4K resolution (3840 X 2160p) we can also expect 4K Blu-ray to support higher frame rates (up to 60 fps), an expanded colour gamut along with higher dynamic range (HDR) as well as HEVC/H.265 to compress 4K movies more efficiently and allow for higher bit rates. The group is currently exploring the possibility of increasing the disc capacity to 66GB or 100GB.
The news was confirmed by representatives on the show floor at IFA 2014 in Berlin which opened its doors to visitors today."

Anyway, 'Mastered in 4K' or whatever it's called, is by all accounts better than standard Blu-rays.
