I'm thinking they just sold out but didn't cut the quantity in the listing so it's over sold and now people with orders are stuck in limbo until they find more.
Not sure about that. I actually pre-ordered just as it went live on Amazon at £19.99. I think it's more likely that they never received their stock in yet. Anyway, I think it'll never arrive, lol!
I ordered from Amazon on August 27th and received it about a week ago. Don't get me wrong, I hope they come through for everyone still waiting but as they've only fulfilled some orders it's presumably down to not having more stock available.
In all fairness, I never expected Cuckoo's Nest to arrive, but it did ...... I passed out with the shock, lol! So, to get one, then I really shouldn't complain. I won't hold my breath with this, though. Glad someone got it for £19.99.
Looks like Amazon have more stock coming. Anyone who didn't get their £19.99 steel should now be golden

Tried it. Didn't to the trick and even removed a tiny spot of the matt varnish (like with Clockwork Orange). Glue spots were off the J-card but remained on the Steelbook.
I can recommend lighter fluid and some cotton swabs, though. That removed everything for me without remains on the varnish.
What the f**k is going on with WB and Universal at the moment? Why do they keep using 2 different types of glue on one J card? The clear normal easy to peel blob on the back but these f**king horrible yellow sticky parts at the top front. That’s 2 steelbooks that yellow glue has nearly ruined. Using a hairdryer on the yellow stuff only works so far. You still got to smudge the residue off and clean/ buff the area for f**king ages after. Had the same issue with Wicked. Useless pr!cks
If you alternate the hairdryer between hot and the double hot setting (if you have it) and then flash the cold air setting as well. I've found no issues with all three of these problematic white Kubrick releases.
I can thank my amazing wife for the decent hairdryer though.
I can't say it works at all for different material slipcases but on all types of paint finish, I've yet to have a surface finish removal or a permanent discoloration.
That's not to say it won't ever happen I guess.
I take it you've received yours and it's been a pretty sh*t time getting the wa*ky glue off again?
Damn. That's not good.
Yeah got mine. I got it off better than I did with wicked. Learned a lesson that day. Managed to heat them up to smear the glue blob upwards and a piece of soft fabric over and over and heating the residue in between. Completely clean now but a lot agg.
Any reason not to use a mild solvent like Sticky stuff remover to get rid of glue residue?
