oh man, I am so disappointed I didn't get at least one of yesterdays posters

simple "click captcha" before checkout would solve all of our problems. Or they can make a lottery system, that would be most fair.

bots are lame.

Obviously Mondo likes the way they´re dropping prints and have no intention to improve. They won´t make a lottery, ordinary customers like myself just have the opportunity to get a Stout/Taylor/Jock,etc. on a timed sale basis. Sounds shady, but that´s the way it is and nothing will ever change.

When I received the twitter notification I was on the Mondo shop, so F5 F5 F5 F5 and the Batman poster appears something like 20 or 30 seconds after the twitter announcement... It was in my cart but sold out immediately...
I don't know why I try to buy posters on this website, it's literally impossible, every time...

Sometimes it is luck, I've missed out on a few I wanted, but as an individual I have gotten through, just gotta keep trying and it will happen

I bought the variant for 150 shipped. Felt that was a good deal. Should be here soon

Awesome!! While both look awesome for some reason I'm drawn to the regular one more than the variant. I think it's the blue hues that really make it pop for me. I'm gonna have to get one, sadly I'll probably pay a premium on Ebay.

I most always go for "more color" but having seen the variant in person and then "hearing" the blue on the reg is not metallic I think in the end the variant will def win.

Apologies for dragging up an exceptionally old thread, but I've just bought the Mondo Con variant of this print, and I couldn't be more excited to own it! I've always loved that variant and never thought I would be able to get my hands on one :D

By chance, I managed to find a collector who has moved from Texas to Somerset UK recently and is selling off a chunk of his collection, so I got a great deal on it bundled with JC Richard's mondo LOTR trilogy print set - which are also stunning!

I've gone down the rabbit hole now lol and bought Matt Ryan Tobin's Silent Knight variant print for Batman Returns as well - though that was from a US seller, but still at a reasonably good price considering the international shipping and that he agreed to mark it as a gift so I wouldn't get hit by customs.

I'm quite tempted to buy Matt Ferguson's GITD variant print of Batman Forever to go with my '89 & Returns prints, as he has a few artist proofs on his store for a great price - or perhaps Ben Terdik's print, as I do like that one too. I've also got my eye on a print for BvS and ZSJL, but I don't love any of the artwork like I do with the Mondo Con and Silent Knight variants, so I'm in two minds whether I should restrain myself or not...

@samdavies congrats on grabbing the poster and the others as well. Honestly it can be a rabbit hole of buying posters once you start. I'd say sit on buying another poster want for a month or so, if you still want it go for it. Sometimes that collector urge starts pulling you down rabbit holes. but happy you got one of your bigger wants

I've gone down the rabbit hole a little bit more lol I've now also ordered the BvS "Call to Arms" print by JP Valderrama and a ZSJL print by Ann Bembi. I really should stop now, but I'm still undecided on which Forever print to get, if either. That's probably a sign in itself that I should hang fire tbh.

I do love this Ken Taylor variant print, though. It was delivered yesterday. It's glorious. Such a nice finish. Really happy with it!

@samdavies you need to post some photos. are you gonna frame it?
I will for sure take some photos, but I don't have anywhere to frame/store it yet! So it's back safe in it's tube for now.

I'll probably buy 3 print browser display sleeves, and put the 6 prints I've bought in those, back to back. I don't have enough wall space currently to frame them all until I've finished the attic conversion. I did want a portfolio book to keep them in, but there only seems to be one I can find in the 24x36 inch print size, and it's like $284usd + plus shipping to the UK

@samdavies so you definitely don't want to store prints in tubes long term, that's actually bad for the print.

If you can't get a portfolio (though check out baroqueportfolios; I think even Vice Press sells the Baroque portfolios) then at a minimum find a craft store and get 2 or 3 acid free foam boards and keep the print flat between the boards with some clips holding the pieces closed. That way the print stays nice and flat

Yes, I know. I wasn't planning on it, hence the browser display sheets. Baroque portfolios was my first stop, but they don't ship to the UK currently. Just had a look on vice press and they don't seem to stock portfolio books at all, just poster frames.
