I hope mine will arrive dentfree after traveling around the world! :ohno::ohno:

The packaging by Amazon.JP crew for international and domestic orders is by far the best I have seen anywhere. Not only do they make sure the external box is sturdy, the taping and wrapping of the item(s) internally are very carefully thought out and performed. So I am pretty confident these same packaging can travel around the world several times with minimal damage ;)

I really want some of these but too scared to even consider what customs would bend me over for

Ask some member to assist you in getting and re-send over to you and declared as gift below £10. :D
True, I'm gonna jump in here and ask if anyone on this lovely forum care to help a fellow member then please pm me.

All the titles are limited to one per order and it's tracked, so not many members can help.
Maybe after its released it might loosen a bit but I doubt so as it seems so popular.

N3, someone posted a few weeks ago, that you could edit the qty in the cart, once you add '1', and it seems to still work-at least at the cart page. But one of the problems is that anyone that would help (even if they could), *may* end up getting slammed with customs charges due to a higher bill they'd have, if they ordered multiples. Group buys, or a larger qty with Amazon JP 'generally' is not a good idea all the way around, due to the extra cost the buyer has to pass on to the others he/she is helping. So it may just be better to order on your own...3 Steels for me were about $43-45/each with shipping...pretty average for imports from this location, imo.

I tried that and it wouldn't let me check out - it stops you when you get later in the order process.

These are truly limited to 1 copy per customer for overseas orders.

I would love this and the dark knight if anyone could lend and hand. Then have to pray that they bring out a matching "Dark Knight Rises" steel down the road.

What kind of a hand do you need? Can't you order from Japan or do you need someone to walk you through ordering on the website?

Not only you andy, I tried that many times and many ways to work around it.
No luck, each time you check out with more than one copy it won't go through.

Yes the "lockdown" is pretty tight for these titles. The sweet spot is around 3 of these titles to make the shipping cost a little easier on the wallet. After the release date, these babies will be very difficult to find due to the collector mindset in Asia where folks tend to keep their collectibles and seldom buy more of the same title. :D

I guess they want to make sure they don't run out anytime soon. Also it makes no sense creating two orders either because you'll be slammed with another high shipping cost.

There is an "opening" here if you get my drift...:hilarious:

@Ash what's the import limit value for VS, untill you have to pay Customs?

I believe there is an $800 personal exemption (not sure if per import or per 30 days) and then it is 3% of the next $1000 unless the item is protected under the various agreements and trade programs. Someone with more extensive knowledge of US tax and business laws should chime in :D

Problem is Ash that US customs or the carrier upon inspection to the US sees more than 1 copy and they state those extra copies are for resale. ;)

Actual duty will not run you that much, if you get charged, it'll likely be more to pay for the customs clearing charge from the carrier.

We don't pay anything near what folks in Germany or UK pay. :D
