Personally, I can't wait for this. I also don't have any BB or TDK in my collection and this would be a nice addition to start them off with.

Yeah I came real close to getting the five while steelies from Japan and I was about to push the Submit button but just couldn't justify the cost of shipping. Otherwise I would have had my first two there.

yeah I haven't been able to get myself to push buy on those two either even though I do want them... JP steels cost too much when its all said and done IMO. Ive been collecting so long that Im tired of paying more then $30 a steel for new stuff. These new play.com waves have been refreshing in that sense.

Thats why I try to wait until there are at least 5-7+ steels I want from one place and hence have huge orders when I do import steel's and try to keep them around that $30 mark averaged out over the order with shipping and everything added. The downside to this waiting sometimes = sold out before you get what you want, lol.

I know exactly what you mean. I've gone through two of the Universal waves and now these two latest waves I'm a part of through Dave's GB and its leaving me broke all the time. I've finally come to realize that you just can't get them all. Once that has finally sinked in I may be alright.

yup... can't have em all is actually something important IMO for a lot of peeps realize and accept and buy accordingly in this hobby as its ongoing. You will be happier in the long run. There are a select few capable of buying it all but most can't. And when you over do it you feel burnt out and at times extended $$$ wise beyond your means. This is a long term hobby for most and you need let some go here and there. I know this because I speak from experience sadly. Now I have reduced my collection in half and kept only truly what I want and buy only at a pace that suits me. I feel much better about my collection now and feel excited about continuing to collect (except for the mood killing re-releases). All of this being said, lol, I still want the JP BB and TDK! Still debating it though...

to add something that is on topic, lol, I hope this steel is debossed. That would make it special and worth having for even those that already have other BB and TDK titles in their collection IMO.

This is definitely NOT a hobby in which the goal is to keep up with the Jones. You will never be satisified or happy. Buy to collect only those that you are interested in and will be happy to have in your collection. Well done Jay!

if the french version didn't exist, i'd be all over this one, jumbo or no jumbo. i have to say, i was pretty disappointed when i saw the artwork, as i already own what will surely be the far superior aforementioned version.

I wished I had the time to make them myself. I grabbed them off a local friend who bought them from ebay. They not only looked sharp but actually are.

I couldn`t agree more! For me it´s not just steelbooks (or movies) I also collect comics. My wife thinks I´m nuts
