They do reimburse a nominal amount for shipping in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrect stock. I think in your case you could fairly claim incorrect stock if a steelbook was pictured on the item's sales page. It won't fully cover your returns costs but it'll help at least.

Amazon.fr's response to these cases is usually a big fat middle finger. As far as they are concerned, if it doesn't say Steelbook or Metal in the listing or title, it's listed correctly, picture be damned.

I find amazon on the whole are usually pretty accommodating on returns though. There's quite a variety of reasons you're allowed to return something, and the returns process is generally straightforward.

In the case of amazon.de at least, incorrect pictures do seem to be an issue, since we know in the case of the Cowboys & Aliens tin that they've acted on customer complaints that what they're selling differs in detail (the Zippo design) to what's pictured.

I'm referring specifically to amazon.fr. They may share the Amazon name, but they are not the same people. This isn't the first time someone has bought these titles from them, thinking they were the steelbooks. They'll accept the return, because they have to, but the shipping costs (both the original and the return cost) are another matter. They do not normally refund that for this reason, as they don't consider the steelbook being pictured as the item being wrongly listed.

Really glad I got this just in time before it went out of stock it maybe now OOP, it's a thing of a Beaty and pictures ca not do it justice, def one of the best Steelbooks of 2011

But why wouldn't you be able to return something if it's still SEALED??. I'm thinking about not even opening the box from Amazon.fr when it arrives and just send it back like that. What's worse is that the 4 movies I ordered are arriving in 3 different shipments!

Contacted AMAZON FR a few times, concerning my dented copy. Different people attend myy email and they come out with different way of solving the problem. It seem that they do not have a standard way of solving problem.

Just picked a new/mint one of these up from eBay for £28.99 including postage, not a bad deal I think? I know the uk one is coming out, but I kinda HAD to have this.....
