I'm really pleased with this release I might have to pick up a extra copy pictures don't do it justice great release.

I'm pretty happy with the steel - nice look to it and the rare embossing on a US release. Never bothered with any of the DC animated movies before and probably wouldn't have gotten this one if not for it being a steel though heard nothing but good things about this one. My store only had 3 after I exchanged a scratched up copy for another one.

At 5 pm today (couldn't go earlier), I went to a Target store in Memphis and they had none, and given how the regular DVD and the BD/DVD edition were displayed I doubt they've had the steelbook this morning either .

They had the Walking Dead Season 3 exclusive jumbo steelbook a few weeks ago, but no sign of this Batman steelbook - and I'm not sure the employees knew what a steelbook was exactly :(.

I'll be in New York this week-end :))), might try to find The Dark Knight Returns there — and also Best Buy's The Ring, I Am Legend and Nightmare of Elm Street while I'm at it :D.

If I don't find it, I'll settle for the French editions, €12.99 each. They're G1, but I already have 7 other Warner G1 steelbooks so they wouldn't feel alone, and it doesn't look terrible if you stack them one against another on the left of a shelf.

This steelbook turned out better than I was expecting. I might check out my nearest Target tomorrow to see if they have any.

Yesterday I went to the Sandusky, Ohio Target at open (I was the first one through the doors.) When I got back to the electronics section the salesperson had just rolled out the new releases cart to start setting them onto the shelves. There were 3 copies of this (unsure if there were more in the back,) and of them, two were in the hard plastic security cases, while the third one was in a security spider-wrap :( The spider-wrapped one was dented as if it had gotten dropped, but between the other two I found one to my liking! :) FYI, I noticed paint chips along the cases' openings (opposite the spine,) when checking them over. Otherwise, this is a beautiful Steelbook release!

I went to three Targets yesterday and all with no luck in finding stock. I will be a very unhappy camper if i dont get one by weeks end.

I must resist the urge to get a copy of this. Too many releases and have the amaray copies anyway. Pics keep making me have the urge to drive to Target. Once on the road, there is no turning back. Gotta stay away from this and the Canadian threads but they keep getting bumped. Arghhhhhh.......:angry: :(

I just got back from my local Target where after about ready to give up I found the steelbook behind some amaray copies. They had 4 copies total. First indications suggest limited run.

sell the amaray copies, pick the steel up, open it up and sell the digital copy and dvd... makes this one super cheap pick up

BEYOND upset at the copy of this steelbook That Target sent in the mail. Horrible shape, Horrible packaging...Never have I received a steelbook that was completely folded over and bent. They just shoved it into a cheap cardboard envelop. I'm hoping I can find one in stock at the local Target and trade it out with a good copy. FAIL on Targets packaging part.

most USA retailers i.e target, bb and walmart have terrible packaging so for releases of steelbooks its ideal to pick it up in stores or order in bulk online. If you need any help, let me know and ill have some people check the targets around my area

I ordered online as a backup. I was able to find one in the store, so I just took the one that came in the mail to the store for a full refund.

The package was all folded up on the sides. Surprised the steel was in good shape when I took it out at the return counter.

Resisting this release was futile. I finally dragged my :ass: to target to get a copy.

They had like 5 copies on the shelf in the anti theft cases. Sadly :( removing them was almost impossible for the cashier. He then took a pair of keys from his pocket to pry the sucker out. Success :) then upon inspecting it further, the tool used to remove it had scratched up the area of contact :( . I refused that copy and settled for one that was acceptable. Its a shame they ruin these collectibles by stuffing them in these cases and spider wraps.
