I hope it goes to 1.0. Really no reason to complain. Heck I remember when our dollar was worth 1.5 CAD. Then it went the other way around. Get used to wild currency changes. Its just part of life.

I agree some films are definatly too long. Anything after 2 1/2 hours is getting too long.

Really depends on the film. A bad one can feel long at 90 minutes. A good one can breeze by at 120 minutes. There are films that run a couple hours or so that I enjoy so much I wished they were longer. And some at around 1.5 hours that I wish would end and wonder why they were made at all. IMO it's not about the time. It's about the story, writing, acting, editing, etc. And of course your personal taste.

Off course, some films do warrant the extra time. If you are into the story and enjoying it then if is fine. I just feel that a lot of films have a padded out running time to make them feel like the are bigger and better. Most of the super hero films these days are over 2 hours. Films like transformers at nearly 3 hours can feel like an endurance test! That is down to the individual film though and there are some great films that are long though so I do agree!
