Batman v Superman Ultimate Cut Release Date and Details! :thumbs:

Source: ComingSoon.net

According to Forbes, the Batman v Superman Ultimate Cut will get its Blu-ray and DVD release on July 16 (pre-order your copy!), only a few weeks before the next DC Extended Universe movie Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5.

Additionally, Snyder has spoken to Collider about what we can expect on that disc, and what the R rating implies in terms of the level of violence.
"We call it the Ultimate Cut because to me it’s a deeper dive into that world and there are storylines in there that get fleshed out by the longer version,” Snyder says. “I would say that we didn’t really take out much of the Superman/Batman story because I felt like, you know that’s kind of the movie, but there was some sort of interstitial stuff that surrounds the story, that kind of finishes some of the ideas that we trimmed back, and I think that’s what you get. There’s a little bit of action, there’s a little bit of violence that we trimmed out for the MPAA that we put back. The Batman warehouse rescue, there’s a couple shots of Doomsday that were too intense. Then there’s a little bit longer ending, sort of the ending sequence, and the opening of the movie, the North Africa sequence is really much different. It was in there until very recently, so all of it’s finished. It was really just a function of time, to be honest. Because the movie’s long now, long-ish—I don’t think it’s long, but when you get over two and a half hours the studio starts getting nervous. I’m not James Cameron who’s like ‘No it’s three hours, suck it!’, which is cool by the way. I just wanted to try and get it to a length that is work-able.”

This is Amazon? I wasn't aware they had release rights to steels. Would have thought this would be best buy, target or walmart.

Havent seen the movie yet, but I will be getting the steel as I'm a Batman junkie. Seems like people either love this film or think it's a bore. Much like my brother LOVING Man of Steel and me being more 'Could have been better'. Altho I have that steel as well.

Also love WB is giving us the ultimate cut straight away. Will have to pass on the figures tho. Too pricey.

NICEEEE!!!!!!!! I like it. But I hope they have different covers for BD and 4K. And that "hdr" logo needs to go.
Whatever the art, I just hope they have the slipcovers here in Canada. None of the latest 4Ks have slipcovers here for some reason. :confused:

@bloodsnake007 thanks so much for the info buddy, lead me to the right edition :notworthy:

I was thinking that I would have to double dip to get both ''3D'' and ''Ultimate edition'' but to my surprise, it's all on the same edition :wow: Usually Studios would release 2 separate versions to maximize sales (like FOX are doing with The Martian). Warner not being greedy :OMG: ...only one edition to Purchase wow :woot:

How do you know they are all in the same edition? The pic says "4K BD + BD + UV"
I was actually thinking they'll probably do a separate lenticular slip for 3D + DVD combo with the same art.

On Amazon.com;

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Edition Blu-ray + Theatrical Blu-ray + 3D-Blu-Ray + UltraViolet Combo Pack)

link in the OP directs you straight to it :thumbs:

Amazon.ca will probably add it to their catalogue when closer to release date, they are often late in offering pre-order titles.

Ah got it thanks. I preordered on bestbuy and at that time it didn't have detailed descriptions...
Good to know 3D + UE all in one :thumbs:
