If the quality control is gonna be like it has been recently, I'd rather play.com did keep a few steels behind after pre-orders to help those that have either had damages, or couldn't afford for the money to come out of their bank before the release date.

Yes, I was meaning around on eBay rather than directly through Play. Because of the slow sell-through of existing stock, all those sellers who had copies to shift privately will probably be stuck with them quite a bit longer. So it should be easy to pick it up one way or another for a while.

A tougher job might be finding examples without manufacturing defects, which seem to worryingly common with this one.
