I viewed Battle Royale on the big screen on its opening day here in the UK. It is a phenomenal film that had me feeling uneasy, wondering how it was all going to end.

After taking about this movie the last few days it made me really wanna watch it again so I've just finished watching the directors cut, really is a beautifully made film, its a story of friendship and love that's thought provoking, its so much more than just violence for the sake of violence in a film. I enjoyed it as much today as I did all those years ago

Yeah, I've noticed GT's sense of humor on here so when I saw he'd put the little laughing guy under my post it did make me chuckle that he thought something I said was silly or whatever, thats totally cool I like his posts and all his mock artwork he puts up on here.. I thought he'd be back to this thread and tell me what was so funny tho, I'm sure I would find it funny too as I laugh at myself quite happily all the time... still curious GT if you're reading this

This movie and the ring were the first of their type that I saw all those years ago, and I was blown away.. then I said goodbye to Hollywood (lol)and looked for any movies like these. Love them!

As for the hunger games... if there was no such thing as Battle Royale hunger games would have been a much more interesting film however thats not the case, when I watched it at the cinema I just kept thinking that they've tried hard to make it a bit different from BR but it will always be a very weak remake, to me anyways

The guy I bought BR SB for Christmas said that he loves the steelbook and has only seen bits and pieces (seriously, no pun intended) of the film and is looking forward to watching it. .. I told him to watch the directors cut
