I sure hope their are some cancellations between now and release time. Since the release date still isn't designated maybe it will give people time to change their mind and me an opportunity to snatch one.

I'm not sure if anyone was curious about the release date of this as well as the other 3 (Snow White, Lion King and Sleeping Beauty). I really thought it was just a placeholder since many retailers put that date as a default and it is a Wednesday and a Holiday. Zavvi has sent me two messages saying they would investigate it further and as of now they confirm thst December 31st is in fact the release date. DISCLAIMER: Zavvi Customer Service may not know what the hell they're talking about.

Want do you mean "may" not know?? They will tell you something is sold out when it hasn't yet gone live, as all they do is look on the product page. Which, as we all know, can be about as accurate as a railway timetable!!!

I (think I) read in one of the other threads that Zavvi said this and the others are likely to be 2015 releases now

Listed as having a release date of December 15th.

Nice of Zavvi to tell those of us who pre-ordered that they have a confirmed release date! How many people were expecting this to be a 2015 release? Instead, Zavvi drop this on us a week before release, with most people only finding out tomorrow or Wednesday when it starts shipping! If I recall, they pulled a similar stunt with previous Disney releases back in February and March, where a lot of collectors were caught off-guard due to a sudden change of release date! I honestly can't believe that Zavvi would do the same again, especially when the majority of people aren't expecting it!

What annoys me more is that Zavvi's Customer Services don't even have the common decency to eMail those who had pre-ordered to inform them of the change of release date! I dread to think how many missed payments there will be because of this simple lack of communication!

Did you need to write this in all the individual threads [emoji52]

Sum1 hasn't learnt their lesson from previous zavvi episodes then.

They had said that they would be releasing them before year end. I for one am happy with the 15th; any later and it risks battling with other Mail for Christmas. Should they emailed people? Yes, but you read it here anyway, so you won't be surprised when it arrives.

See what I mean? One moment, Zavvi's Customer Services confirms the release date as 30 December, then the next the website is saying it's now 15 December. Their Customer Services really do not have a clue what's going on!

Best part of the second message he sent me was "further investigation" in the "relevant department". But who knows, maybe his asking questions sparked that department to actually update the release date since it was updated not too long after his response. And in that case, "You're Welcome!":p

Through our mods and DB it seems like we actually know more about what goes on than the people working there.
