Not happy with the price like others but the design of this steelbook is too good to miss out on, so I decided to buy this one now, I passed on some zavvi steelbooks because I thought the design was poor. Not going to risk paying much more than the current price on ebay later.

Hey guys, I checked with them on this. They have shared that the 19.99 price was an honest error when the item went live again. It should be down to 14.99 within the next 10 min or so.

That's good but what if you already ordered the steelbook when they had the wrong price, will zavvi charge £19.99 or £14.99?

I just emailed them, because my order for this was just charged (and shipped) at the 19.99 price. Hopefully, they respond.

In the interim, DB--do you know if they will honor the price at 14.99 for any orders placed today for this?

I was looking at their Pre Order Price Promise it says "From the moment you place a pre-order with us we guarantee that if the price subsequently drops before release, we will always charge you that lower price." surely they will have to refund anyone that paid the earlier incorrect price.

I wouldn't be so sure - as people have asked Zavvi to honour this in the past and they refused. Conversely I asked them about a similar issue with a price drop on a game and they offered to refund me the difference.

So might depend on which customer service rep you get answering your query. Good luck.

The promise is that you pay the lowest price between YOUR pre-ordered price and the release price.

edit: you wrote it: "From the moment you place a pre-order ..." ! Nothing mentioned about prices before your pre-order.

I'm still pretty new on the scene. Is there some kind of alert or something that people get? Or is it just luck and persistence?

I actually got it this time. I was surprised. Happened to be on their site and it was available. I assumed it was a mistake and ordered it anyway. And yes they do put out an alert most of the time but it's usually too late as the alert is hours later long after the horse has bolted.

^^ check your zavvi account and make sure ure subscribed to recive emails (they send out back in stock emails when cancellations go live)
