Why... do you write "same" in quotes?

It actually IS the exact same steelbook!

I know U.K. j-cards are extremely important to you, but going as far as implying they change a steelbook is rather odd I'll say, my dear chap :D.

UK disc as well, sometimes it's the same though. Also sell value, you never know when a superior release will supersede it. ;)

Exact same steelbook . . . ;)
ITALY....................................................................................U.K.

Just joking.

Obviously the only difference between the two is that the U.K. j-card is printed in my mother tongue i.e. English . . . and the Italian j-card is printed. . . now, let me think . . . ah, yes, in Italian . . .
Goes without saying that when I read the j-card, which I do if I know nothing about the film in question, I'd rather read it without the aid of an Italian to English dictionary.
There's also the possibility that non-English print is on the steelbook itself.

Of course this is just a p e r s o n a l p r e f e r e n c e and not a form of steelbook xenophobia :D

That's one example

Most of the time we get the same as Italy, Germany and France

Into darkness had loads of releases too and certain films do get WEA to countries like your example. Not just us

And this is the first time ever that it's possibly cheaper to get from the U.K. Instead of say Italy. Saying that eyes wide shut was 10 euro the other week.
Plus it makes sense to order from Amazon Italy when you bundle a few because shipping don't change and only costs about 4 euro. I usually bundle 4 or 5 steels together for incredible bargains but brexit has f*cked it all up at the moment.

Yes, it's a nice one with it's most famous poster design as the artwork a big plus.

Listed as glossy but looks more kind of Zero to me with shiny / spot-gloss highlights against the dull green background . . . from the shiny copper coloured fallen leaves dotted around the rolling hills and adjacent to the winding path to the light reflecting off the sails of the boat in the harbour and off the windows of the church in the distance as well as on the hands of the figure and on parts of the path - these subtle touches enliven what could have been a dull steelbook.

Thankfully none of the unnecessary print on the steelbook front - not even the "A TIM BURTON FILM" - as seen on the Amaray covers.

Spine title duplicating the style of lettering of the title on the front of the steel and apart from the title it's a tidy spine with only the Sony logo and related print.

In conclusion: an elegant and tasteful steelbook nicely executed and, despite the nine year old disc with the only Extra being the Tim Burton Commentary, a solid 8/10 . . . and until / if a re-master comes along this is the best version of the film in the best packaging.
