Important Group Buy update

Official update for all group buy participants -

The licensing agreement for Black Panther, for unknown reasons, still has not been resolved and because of this Infinity War will now be being released first (roughly early December time). The licensing agreement for Black Panther is looking to be completed around November time but because of the other releases (infinity War, Greatest Showman, Three Billboards), Black Panther will not ship until January 2019 at the earliest.

Infinity War will ship with the same editions (1/4 slip + Box, One Click, DL, SL and full slip)

Group Buy members, we have a couple of options for you -

1. Transfer
Your Black Panther request will automatically be transferred to the same edition to that of Avengers: Infinity War. You will then be guaranteed a spot for Black Panther, which will be charged for again later on in the year (or potentially January 2019)

2. Refund
You can cancel your Black Panther request and be refunded. Please note that should you change your mind afterwards we cannot allow you to repurchase Black Panther. At this time there will not be a further GB for it (however this may change although not guaranteed)

3. Wait it out
Wait for Black Panther to be released. If you decide to wait it out, as a thank you we will enter you into a HDN sponsored prize draw.

The official GB for Avengers: Infinity War won't be live until November.

I will be sending this as a PM to all participants tomorrow too with the relevant instructions.

Yeah, I really think this should count for something too.

Before I became premium, I remember there used to exclusively be giveaways/competitions between premium members only. Even this has stopped now.

Since I've upgraded there's been no difference at all.

I don't see how someone who hasn't signed up for full membership should deserve an equal chance of obtaining something rare which the site can offer you over those who have. Especially if the only time you hear from them is when there's a raffle!

I know the mods are doing their best at trying out something fair. But I really don't think they've thought this option through fully.

I certainly would’nt be opposed both the premium member and previous group buy criteria. I agree it should amount for something. I think the last time it was enforced was BVS Novamedia.

I'm not a Blufans VIP, so Kevin's GB is the only option other than eBay. I really want Double Lenti since it is my son's most favorite movie ever.
However, if I'm not quick enough and miss this, that's life I guess. Just try n get myself busy with something else then

Brace yourselves...whining is coming.

As for me I liked the quickdraw method as I had good luck with it despite being one of those loathed noobs, but if I lose the raffle, NBD - it's an essential release so I'll swallow my irritation and pick up a scalped copy on the bay. But I'll cross my fingers we get enough copies to avoid this new strat.

Either way there will be 10+ pages of complaints after this release unfortunately. You can't please everyone!

Lot to respond to in here or comment on ... but I feel like if I did all it'd go on forever.

I do appreciate everyone's comments tho.

A couple things I can hit on ...

1) pretend it was for premium members only .... wow yes HDN will have new sign ups and make some extra money which we can always use. BUT ... you know how easy that would be to exploit in the current settings? There is like over 500 premiums , some who collected hard 2 years ago, bought blufans, but no longer collect. Pretty easy for someone to PM some those people asking them to sign up then gaining higher odds for themselves. I know I could get quite a few on my squad. lol. Sure, ive been here a long time tho. But .... just saying. I think there may be a different way to give back to those who are Premium tho. Will touch on that later.

2) paid subscriptions, yeah its been contemplated before ... but its an avenue I dont want to go down yet. Seems messy, only way you guarantee is very low # ... then that just creates an elitist thing. Unless you bring in more paid members, then still run raffle, and then you are paying and not always obtaining anyhow. So again, messy, and not perfect.

3) there are things that happen behind the scenes, that no one knows of, that help further validate my reasoning etc, but not all info should be public. And I'm not talking about our gb system as is etc.

4) Sure the current gb system can show flaws with very low qty and high demand, but we also have some major updates in the works right now as we speak. So this was not some huge deciding factor because that is around the corner anyhow. But sure a raffle can help that as well.

5) Perhaps a good time to remind people that our success in serving out as many Dr Strange as we did also required HDN to pay out a little over $700 in shipping fees as such so the members price did not change. I'm not usually one to remind of such things, but it seems i guess new people come who question integrity and thus you either ignore them or keep reminding of milestones etc. in which i typically ignore, as no one wants to keep asking for kudos to convince others.

You must have already participated in an HDN Blufans Group Buy to be eligible.
