It's all nice quality, but I feel like I've already owned ten versions of BR2049. That's not Relite's fault. I'll be interested to see what other titles they have planned.
I dislike most of the BR 2049 steels, Filmarena's was my favourite but I didn't particularly like any of their slips and certainly wasn't going to drop £140+ for one. As long as the steel in this set is nice in hand I'm going to be very happy with it.
That other forum shipping box is quite comical. They were not established in 2009, Their domain was registered in 2014. I do however know of a site that was started in 2009. 
These seem to be out in the wild now, likely from the two or three group buys maybe and due to the 001 number?
Still no word on a general sale or movement on their website. I wonder if it'll happen. Potentially just group buys? I dunno. Was/Am looking forward to picking one up but didn't join a GB.
I received my invoice from a GB host on Facebook two days ago. No word about the shipping date, but I guess it will go out soon. No idea about the promised website "pre"-order, though. @TheWildEye

Given how long the GB's remained open I'd guess they're mostly sold out which is why they're not rushing/bothering with the storefront.
Yeah, the forum that cannot be named, with all the Chinese bootlegs and crazy cheering people akin to North Korea, has members receiving them already.

I'd have preferred being able to buy outside Group Buys like they said they would originally...then went completely radio silent with no response to emails or any kind of communication. Proper crap that.
Bit BS if you ask me. Especially for us who don't get onto GBs elsewhere.
I like the release, I like that there's an option for people who missed out on FAC which is pretty much the only other release I really liked.
I saw a lot of the complaints about the embossed slips and yes I do think gloss on an embossed face is a huge mistake but it looks fine in normal lighting, for some reason there's quite a few people who really have a chip on their shoulder for this set so I thought a lot of the criticism was a little... excessive/unwarranted.
Saying that there's definitely issues that need fixing, my OC has what I think is a drip of gloss where it's not supposed to be (OC rear, bottom right) and most importantly every copy of the steel I've seen seems to have some extremely light circular scratches, like it's not been polished quite well enough.
