Just finished watching Friday the 13th Part 3D, haha. nice to see it again in 3D but the effect was a little dull compared to the newer ones they are releasing. It was hard to tell the quality of the transfer but I did notice some artifacts on the screen in a few places. the opening sequence of the film is not 3D because it's basically the last 10 minutes of Part 2. I hope that postion is not a hint at what the quality of the Part 2 Blu is. It seemed pretty bad to me but definitely an upgrade from the SD-DVD.

Hey, on the first part of the film when they stop the van, do they show the shadow of the microphone? I noticed that right away on the DVD a few weeks back... hope they didn't take it out for the blu-ray, hahaha

and I got Ghostbusters yesterday, it does look pretty soft sometimes and in dark scenes there's graininess/noise but it looks great for a 25 year old film.

didn't notice that but you can be sure I'll be lookin for it next time.

I watched Friday the 13th (redux) Killer Cut last night. I love this film for some reason. there is nothing special about it but it's great to see this franchise getting a make-over. It needed that. The PQ and AQ are very nice and I was so happy to see one of the scene they deleted from the theatre cut. When I originally saw the trailer for this movie they quickly showed Jason sharpening his machete on a turning sharpening stone and I thought that was really cool but when I saw it in the theatres it wasn't there. It's on the Blu and it's pretty cool. There are a few other scenes added as well. I'm not sure it they add much to the story tho.

I havent purchased any Blus in quite a while but im waiting for Generation Kill which was an awesome mini series and also plan on picking up Lost seasons 1,2 and 4 before the amazon sale is up.

Lost is the ****!! I'm wearing my Dharma T-shirt right now. :D:D

I got the Matrix Digibook on sale last night for $15:) A lot of people really hate those things.... I don't really care one way or the other, especially for $15.

I got it too! I love it, although its still unopened ... as I have the complete set on Blu ... im just becoming a wh0re for Digibooks

I got Beowulf and watched it tonight, forgot how awesome that movie is and it looks AMAZING on Blu... I got Underworld Evolution as well to complete the trilogy.

Shadow: Dead Riot

I had the pleasure of viewing this movie on Sunday and while it really didn't do anything original (or even that well either!) I still found it delightfully cheezy an enjoyable. It was an over-the-top zombie film mixed with one of those '70-'80 women's prison flicks. There were plenty of boobs, lots of violence, and even exploding people. The classic slow and uncoordinated zombies overrun the prison and eventually all Hell breaks loose. There are a few subplots going on at the same time, although none of them are really that complicated or well developed.

It was very mindless, and there is certainly not any good acting to be found here. But if mindless zombie flicks are somewhat enjoyable to you, then this is worth a rent. I certainly don't regret the 89 mins I spent with this one.

Sounds liek something GB would watch!

I saw Boondock Saints on Blu ... was fun and nice, had been a while since I last saw it. The cat scene is still classic!
