I don't care what anybody says, if Midnight Cowboy, which at the time carried a "X" rating, was awarded by the Academy, it's complete bullshit that this film wasn't even acknowledged!Adèle Exarchopoulos, not only gave the most natural and best debut performance of last year, she gave the most natural and best performance by a female actress of 2013, period!

I agree that Adele Exarchopolus should have absolutely walked the best actress category had she been nominated - by far outshining any of the actual nominees pefomances, including the winner (Blanchett urgh!)

Although it should be noted that this was Exarchopolus breakout performance rather than her debut as she's been working for a few years now

Blue...couldn't be nominated for best foreign film (this year at least) due to Oscar rules about release dates in its country of origin, releasing just after the cut off date for consideration - but maybe next year. Look at The Hunt which was nominated this year but had been on the festival circuit 18 months previously and basically had the same problem

But a niche film like this, i doubt it will be gone like a Kimchi release... It will still go quite fast though off of the back of The Wrestler and Melancholia's success

Wonder will there be any bonus features.... seemed to remember that CC is bare bone with only movie and no bonus features at all...

Me, too...lack of extras was disappointing on CC for sure...

Nearly pulled the trigger on the Criterion release the other day, glad I didn't. Will be buying for sure, is a superb film (saw it at the cinema last year).

Criterion will be releasing a special editon of this film at some point.

I haven't seen this film yet but I really want to. I just have to decide wether to wait for the Criterion SE or get this and possibly double dip if I end up loving it.

Not sure about everyone else, but after the superb art for The Wrestler and Melancholia, this seems just a little bit sub-par... It will still turn out amazing no doubt

Art wise it will look ace next to their other releases so far. Just a shame the extras don't have English subs, still an awesome release though
