Not sure if it's been mentioned already in the thread but the UK regular release disc is the wrong aspect ratio. Judging by the tech specs on the steelbook j-card pictured above, this one is also screwed up.

glad I cancelled my copy now. I had hoped for glossy and bright.

Received my copy today...What a disappointment. The finished product looks nothing like the mockup whatsoever in that the steelbook is WAY too dark (there's next to no contrast in the dirt for example and the sunlight at the top of the image is dull)
The steelbook feels cheap and poorly made.

I'm sure Point Break was the deserved winner last year. Things like Speed will be in the running this time.
The fact that this was also such a poor choice of film to release as a steel book makes this worse for me. In fact this has precisely nothing going for it.
To be honest I don't even know why I had this pre-ordered, a great film sure but I already own it on blu-ray and the art never was too good. And now it seems that it looks worse than in the mockup... Well it's a shame, but at least the film itself is good like I said and this edition isn't completely horrible so maybe I won't mind owning it.
I feel the same, I stuck this in an order with a discount code a while back and was hoping it would turn out well, but it hasn't. The image on the back for instance is so dark, you can't even tell it's his hand holding a phone. Live and learn, Icon = wait for pictures.
Seriously?? Not here to disrespect your personal opinion, but compared to the mock up image we were treated to, were you not at all let down??Mine came on Monday - lovely looking steel and great film - so glad they did it in steel!
To me, the image is WAY too dark to the point where it spoiled the steelbook. Add to that the fact there is no special finish and no embossing/debossing and altogether it makes for one disappointing steelbook.
Don't know why I opened it up (probably to watch the movie..) but think this will be the first steelbook I've stuck on eBay due to disappointment with the product to that extent that I want rid of it...
Shame - sorry to hear you are disappointed - I suppose it could have been a bit lighter yes - your comment reminds me of what zavvi did to 'UP' actually - they really messed that one ...up!
