I'm guessing they're really struggling to shift any of these judging by the fact that they've already sent out two advertising emails in one day.

Seriously, I could easily pick out a dozen steelbook choices that would sell out within few days - without any effort or serious thought. It's like they don't want to make any money...

It is getting this way-you could compile a list of titles Zavvi are unlikely to release-(Drive is one)

Why is it unlikely that they will release Drive? It is distributed by Icon in the UK, the same company responsible for 30 Days of Night, The Road and half a dozen upcoming releases including this one and the three others revealed yesterday. They don't have a huge catalogue of titles, so I think it is a definite possibility. We still don't know which retailer is supposed to be releasing the Mondo edition of Drive don't forget.

It was licensed to HMV-I would assume until the license expires it would prevent ES (or whoever) releasing a mondo version-I doubt Zavvi would get this an an exclusive-anyway, I don't want to get barked at for being off topic-ordered me a copy of Buried-& no-depending on taste this isn't a one watch film...

I love the artwork, and I enjoyed the movie but not enough to watch again. Come on Zavvi release Pink Floyd: The Wall

I planned to skip this, even if it really is a great claustrophobic film (and doesn't "cheat", like 127 hours for example). Now when I saw Oblivion back with a nice price and Non Stop's reduced price I just thought what the heck, why not buy this too at the same time.

I was expecting this to be £18, but at £15 I'm actually tempted... especially with the 10% off another steel. Hmmm.

There have been way too many amaray versions of this released in my eyes, over-saturated without a steelbook. I remember this being 8 pounds on Blu-ray most places in the UK on release day.

Paul, how do you know this for sure? I've tried to find out any technical specs for this and have come up with nowt, so I think you're probably right based on existing UK releases (although I also hope you're wrong!). I mean, how difficult must it be to get hold of a proper aspect ratio master for this. If it turns out to be the cropped version I may end up cancelling this...

It will be the same Disc that ICON Home Entertainment already released in the UK Aspect Ratio: 16:9 - 1.77:1
Only difference now its a steelbook
I doubt that they would be using a different Disc not impossible but unlikely

Oh you can guarantee it will be the cropped aspect ratio!

Why? Because these Zavvi steelbook release deals they have with StudioCanal, eOne & Icon are nothing more than the studios wanting to get rid of stock that has been lying around for ages..(in some cases years!!!)

You can get the amaray for a fiver!....No, let's put it in a steelbook and charge between £15-20 for it!

None of these titles are worthy of a steelbook release....why can't Zavvi strike a deal with studio's like Warner again, like they did with Gremlins, Goonies, V For Vendetta, Beetlejuice etc...who here would LOVE the Lethal Weapon films in steelbook form? I know i would!

Agree or disagree? the majority of Zavvi's choice of steelbook releases over the last 6 months are pretty p*** poor! (apart from Disney/Marvel!)

Finally, love this movie and Ryan was excellent in this very glad to see this title getting a release and the artwork looks nice and detailed to...

OK, have made my mind up. Loved the movie, but if I'm going to get it in steelbook, it damn well better be the best version it can be. Frankly, if it's (more than likely) going to be cropped and minus any additional content, then it's a cancellation for me. Have ordered the German amaray from Amazon for less than a fiver including p&p; 1080p transfer and more extras (even though they are probably in German with no English subtitles). I think you're right Tony, and I'm voting with my feet/wallet. If they want me to pay a premium price, there'd better be a premium product winging it's way to me! :greedy:

Give us a Harry Brown Steelbook and then call it quits ;)

Disagree. Zavvi have released many acclaimed titles, lots of fan favourites and some cult films, there's something for everyone which is great. I don't really care for stuff like Maniac Cop or The Toxic Avenger, but I appreciate that there are people that do. Out of interest, which choices would you consider 'pretty piss poor'?

When ordering this, I stacked some codes and upon trying to cancel it Zavvi now want to charge me the money I saved on the available items. Just a heads up to anyone thinking of doing this. Serves me right for trying to save money. :(
