4 HMV's I've been into now to see if they have this in stock and not 1 of them had and when asked about it none of them had any idea what I was talking about, no wonder HMV are going down the drain.

I know this is off topic but did you happen to see The Cabin In The Woods Steelbook in any of those HMV's?

i did in mine buddy had quite a few copies this morning strange thing is they werent sealed they were in those clear protection wrappers that you buy.

Mark

There's a problem with The Cabin In The Wood blu-ray disc and they've all been recalled for replacement so HMV have probably removed the discs because of that.

HMV store in Burton On Trent has at least 10 of these steels at £17. Just been and got myself one. As mentioned before they are unsealed and in clear bags with the new disc already swapped out! The chap said they put them back on the selves this morning after having sitting out the back since last Monday!

Oh dear so shrink wrapped versions of this are going to be very hard to come by.

I guess that maybe the case. I did read, I forgot what forum it was on. Someone had said the store had the sealed steel on the shelf and then at the counter they the added the new disc in a clear wallet into your bag. So some people might be lucky ;)

Mine is still factory sealed. I just figured I would leave it so and just use the working disc when it arrives. I doubt it will push the value up much whether they are factory sealed or not.

People will pay more for anything if its factory sealed so if HMV are unsealing them all (or the majority of them) then the value will go up for the sealed ones if you're looking to sell. Mine is staying sealed for the moment.

It all depends on what the online part of HMV decide to do. If they unseal all of their Steelbooks too, then a sealed copy could become pretty sought after.

Thanks for the pics Jimmy. I'm still surprised they didnt reseal these with the correct disc. So It looks like you are either going to get an opened Steelbook in a polybag or a Steelbook with empty box sticker on it if you buy instore. I wonder what they are going to do if you buy online?
