There are so many different versions of this movie is so many different forms, I have no clue what's even out there anymore.

Maybe Novamedia saw how much extra money Kimchi makes by just adding a few art cards, lenticular slip, and numbered card. Or, Novamedia wanted a bigger piece of the dollar pie, Kimchi said no, so Novamedia said bye bye. Possibly, maybe.

But really, it would be interesting to know why Kimchi has been left out. But these business decisions will probably be never made public.

I'm not so much concerned with the reasons behind the new Novamedia exclusive line, as I am with, where can we purchase them? Is Novamedia opening an online site? International shipping?

Shorten the chains of your product, from start to the end product, get higher investment returns with parallel margins.

If you already own the rights, have in-house designers or outsource them to PlainArchive. Have an expansion need with the will and need of a webshop with a full cms system, have enough movierights to have a catalog and back catalog, than the next best move is to release your own webshop ;-)

They can always outsource the packaging and handling of Internetorders to another company, but keeps the margins high due to the fact that they keep most of the handling costs within their own company.

It will take a few years, but then they'll have a piece of the market internationally and more import also domestic.

This is truly exciting and I'll be looking out to anything they do in the future....

But PlainArchive is my first love ;-)

I wish they would announce the artwork for this release. I'm holding off on joining the ES Group Buy until I see what Novamedia is going to offer. Personally, I like the art on the Italian Steel best, but I can't stand the big blue banner at the top!

I don't care I am just waiting for those exclusive to come out starting december ??? this is gonna be sweet as Southern apple pie

it's bittersweet, they left kimchi which they made wonderful products together with but this might be the birth of an amazing exclusive company that will kill us with the quality of their releases. Since Blufans have stepped up their game, we knew that it would stimulate the steelbook industry. Novamedia might be the beginning of what it starting to happen... more competition on exclusive releases.

They haven't left Kimchi! Their the publisher for Perfume & Infernal Affairs.

So we should still see Novamedia publishing releases with Kimchi....;)

I think they had previously already agreed on those two releases. I think in the future novamedia will be releasing their own exclusives without kimchi.

There's no way to say really...unless you know someone from Novamedia, or Choi has said anything.

Plain Archive releases their own exclusive line and yet they've still partnered with Kimchi and Novamedia to design and author Kimchi/Novamedia exclusives.

Just depends which company has the movie rights and if they can convince one of the other companies to help with the production.

Divergent was supposed as per the schedule to go on pre-release after Lone Survivor, is it still the case ? info taken from Choi's Thread

Where does Edge Of Tomorrow fall into this ?

which steel for which of their 2 lines ?

Think I will be passing on this one. I'm more than happy with the ES steel for this movie.

Yeah I think so as its been released from a few different distributors...
