Watched it this morning. So much going on but it's incredible. Definitely felt more of a Captain America film than an Avengers one. Want to say more but can't as I don;t wanna spoil it for you guys. Gotta say, it's light years better than Dawn of Justice (even though I actually liked the DoJ).

Watching it again on Sunday. Cannot wait.

Just got back from watching this and was soooo much better than Age of Ultron...Black Panther just smashed it for me, I liked Spidey as Spidey but will take a bit of getting used to outside the suit.

Aunt May.......OH HELL YEA :cigar:
Lucky Ninjas! :squint: We still have to wait a whole damn week before we get to see it! :banghead: It's killing me! :dead: :p

I'm going to go against the grain and say I was abit disappointed with the movie all in all.

It was by no means bad, Black Panther, Ant Man and Spiderman stole it for me and can't wait to see more of them but without spoiling for anyone felt like the film ended on abit of a dour note, similar to how Avengers Age of Ultron ended for me. I think the mood, unanswered questions and uncertainty for the characters going forward didnt really give me any closure going forward especially considering we won't see all these characters back together for a couple of years until Infinity War

Also felt like the actions of a certain main character in this film went abit too far, similar to what they did with Tony Stark in Iron man 2.. Which is a shame because I quite liked the character in question but feel like that's gone down a few notches now.

I really enjoyed the film....spoilers below, you are warned!

I knew it was going to be quite a sad film, and you do sympathise with both sides, Ironman feels bad because of all the destruction the Avengers have done and killed innocent civilians, and you really do get a sense of his guilt. I thought Caps argument was a bit weaker and maybe not made clear enough; freedom and being controlled by politians with different agendas is understandable and trying to defend his friend however not the sole reason for the accords. He still felt guilty about the destruction they have caused but even says that people will get hurt in the cross fire when they are trying to save the world (not exact words but I got this understanding from it).

The characters were great, Scarlet Witch got some good screen time and development which I was happy about. Spiderman got more screen time than I thought he would and was a good introduction to his new character which now seems like the perfect Spiderman! Vision I was disappointed by for some reason, he just didn't do it for me. Black Panther was great, Ant-man was funny but he needed more time I feel on screen out of his suit
He actually grew to supersize which was awesome!
.

The whole film I felt was quite somber and down beat, and it does upset you seeing your favorite hero's fighting each other and it did end on a downer which was obviously intentional and meant to make everyones return and eventual team up again in Infinity War all the more salient.

Setup for Black Panther film which I can't wait for!!

I felt the post-credit scene should have setup the films pre-Inifinity war and not Spider-mans reboot, but more Dr.Strange or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

Overall the best Marvel film to date! And Obviously a good test run for films with a huge cast and huge action scenes preping for Infinity War 1 & 2!

Did really enjoy it but I'd say I'm on the side that felt it was too much of an Avengers 2.5 rather than Cap 3 to fully hit the spot. There's some stuff in there I'd happily have seen cut from the film to give more focus on the central story and some aspects that felt wasted. Gives a lot of hope that the Russo's will nail the next two Avenger films but I still came out feeling a slight whiff of being underwhelmed. Probably an 8/10

Yes, absolutely, and I've been looking for a bad review of the film without much luck (maybe looking in the wrong places . . . lol)

I think this is the one you're looking for, virkia ;). It's the 2/5 rating I mentioned earlier in this thread: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-previews/captain-americas-latest-outing-thudding-7849892

Regarding the steelbook still being available, I think it's simply a case of people getting wise to the whole title-less debacle with every Disney release. People, myself included, are getting tired of the whole pre-order/cancellation song and dance and have stopped bothering.

Thankfully I don't care about the Mirror so missed that complete idiots review. Amusing reading though much like the utter guff in the rest of the paper :hilarious:
