I'm on the look out for this steel but as someone mentioned earlier I see this steel is still available on certain Amazon sites. Is there really any difference at all between this HMV release and the German one?

Kind of reminds of the re-release of the batman/dark knight Korean steel release yet the Japanese version still sells for twice as much....?

same steelbook and art just german text on j card instead of english,the german version also has a 3d disc i have the italian version myself

only got thor myself a few weeks ago its a cool steel, that thing is going up in price every week so be prepared to pay more and more the longer you leave it

in regards to avengers steelbook all are the same artwork but the german version has 3 discs incuding 3d while hmv version is presumed to only have one disc , then you have futureshop viva metal box which is same art but avengers title is on the front and side instead of a plain a on front and avenger pics on spine(side)

I feel sorry for who bidding in eBay over £40 I able to get it from amazon.de it is same cover front back inside why can't someone buy in amazon.de? I knew hmv sold out but can't fool it is same cover like avenger if Averger hmv sold out will price up? But amazon.de isn't sold out so don't want buy!? Want buy in eBay for hmv because it is OOS?!?

It's all about 'rare' mate and which country its from that has gone 'rare'. Collectors are bidding more for the HMV one simple because it is OOP even if the Amazon.de version is sill available even with 3D which is the same steel.

I know in my case it's because I wanted all of my Avengers steelbooks to be the UK versions. It's also a fairly safe bet that if I ever decided to sell them on, I'd at least get what I paid.

I would just get the DE version. It's exactly the same steel and also comes with the 3D version of the movie. The only reason I got the HMV one because it was cheaper when first released. Now they are going for £40 - £50 you get a better deal in Amazon.de.

Yup, same exact Steelbook. I had both and I sold the UK version not long ago. Got what I paid for it so it was a good deal .

I would say there are still people out there that aren't as well versed as people on this forum in understanding the differences.
There are those who still think foreign version may not necessarily be in the same language, especially where in parts of films where there are subtitled not appearing in English but in German/Italian/etc.
Then there are also people who just don't import foreign versions or don't know how to.

So just to ask, are there any differences on the actual steel on the foreign versions of this steel, such as the title and whatnot, as well as definitely have the English speaking version on the disc too (Dumb question I know, but just making sure) as well as being region free? Just asking so that I could possible save money, as I want to try and nab the steel for around £30-ish or lower if there's no difference, which by the looks of ebay, looks like it requires a small miracle, lol. I noticed Amazon.de being mentioned too, so is that easy to order from if possible?

steelbooks are all the same some come with a 3rd disc (3d disc) and all contain english audio

Captain America and Thor are no longer sold in HMV stores. These sold out a long time ago. The audio is the same and they are Region Free but almost everywhere else had the 3D disc included for both movies. The UK editions never had this disc.

Capt is available on amazon.de but it's through resellers and the cheapest new one is 92 Euros. As for Thor your better off going through the trade section on here as it's not going to be cheap anywhere.

I got Captain America HMV from a amazon seller for £32 two weeks ago. I had it on on 3D allready so i just put that in the case in place of the dvd disc. Its possible to pick it up cheap.
