I always pay by Paypal and never have any extra fees. Only fee I could think of is if your credit card charges a currency conversion fee and your native currency isn't the dollar. Typically, whenever you conduct business online via Paypal, the fees are charged to the seller, just like a credit card.

How much are these fees you are being charged extra??

it's the conversion rate. PP rates to change the currency from GBP to dollars is a rip off. It's a rip off any currency you change. That's why I have a credit card that charges the current currency conversion, not the companies so they can make a little profit.

just double checked mine...no fee's, just a VERY weak pound(didn't think it had dropped so much we'd notice on $50 dollar orders :( ) causing a higher than normal GBP cost

dont forget the GBP is drastically weak at the moment

This isn't about the weak GBP. It's the simple fact that PP takes about 3.5% of conversion fee everytime you make a purchase abroad. So everytime I make a purchase of say a $100, converted into pounds, PP will add on $3.5 as their fee in converting the currency. If I used my Credit Card they they don't charge any currency conversion. They charge the current rates you see online. That's why I use Credit Cards to order abroad. If you feel it's safer and less hassle and don't mind the conversion fee then use PP. Not all CC have this benefit so look out for the ones that do. It makes a little saving here and there. It all helps.

and I paid £44 ish on paypal...no fee's there

EDIT- £45.03 to be exact

EDIT 2 - thats the most I think I've paid for a steelbook! wow!
feels kind of wrong...but am just happy to have(hopefully) secured a lenti

The "fee" is not itemised separately by PayPal. The fee is in the scandalous currency conversion rate that PayPal uses . So if you think you have never paid fees you are very sadly mistaken.

Or you just set your paypal to charge in the currency listed instead of converting, then you pay exactly the same as paying directly with the card. I've had it set like this for... 10 years now?

Well I do and have been for the last 10 years, and that is what lgans316 is referring to. If you need more info read about it online and just type in paypal rip off conversion fee.

Full slipA?

the lenti did show again, for maybe 5 minues - I ended up with 3 orders on my account, 2 cancelled and just the one paypal one, completed and still valid.
Weird, only attempted ordering twice, and the 1st was card payment that just completed without asking for my card details, so in panic I paypal'ed a copy an THATS the order than went through.

I feel your pain on deadpool - manta's magnet is little consultation either :(
Whats worse, is the Deadpool one click was still in my cart when I ordered CA:TWS earlier - worried the delay of removing it to order this steel would cause a delay and make me lose out again...thankfully not.

Ah I see, that's what I thought. So these are PP fees for currency conversion. Luckily Kimchidvd, NovaMedia, Plain Archive charge in dollars and I don't have to worry about any conversions why I buy from them. Another reason why I love being a citizen of the United States :D

that did come and go pretty quick so congrats :)
Glad to see so many more of us securing copies this time!

Am with you on FAC Deadpool - just hope we know more before I cave and attempt to get Manta's magnet version(REALLY dont want a magnet, but I cant not have a lenti of some kind...)

So I set my alarm to be ready for the live time and after 10 minutes decided to pass on it and went back to bed.
My gut was telling me that I should save my money and put it on something different(a bit tired of the Marvel re-do over).
I am very Happy with my Taiwan 1/4 Slip with the Stunning WWA steel which I love.
So I think for me it was the right thing to do.

Happy for all ninjas that are excited about this release and got the copy they wanted

only missed out once on a Kimchi exclusive and that was for Deadpool ... the available quantity must have been really low when that one went live :(

but it's not the end of the world as FAC will surely come up with something fantastic as they usually do and i'm sure we'll get a another WEA steelbook for Deadpool in the near future ;)

For the currency issue with PayPal you should be able to pay through PayPal in curancy funded and have your cc company convert the curancy. I've read about that as the work around to paying paypals currency conversion fee which is just added to the total to be paid. I haven't actually done it yet myself but plan on doing it sometime this month when I know I have my cc paid off so when I pay for a gb I don't have to be worried it will put me over my cc limit for steels.

Same here!

Even got the troublesome Thor and Frozen lenti's!

Never missed out on an Asian lenti i went for - there are a couple I missed, and regret not trying when I had a chance, or found out too late, but Deadpool aside, thanks to this morning, I've scored a copy of all the ones I've gone for :) pretty good record we both have then, dot you agree?
