I received my CE copies in mint condition. And I was happy they shipped from the UK and not Guernsey.
Saved a lot of import fees and DHL fees.

Great to add them to the collection. Can’t wait for Endgame :thanks:

Had my refund back on the awful CE edition. It will go towards a much nicer premium.

Steelbook is decent enough though, but could be better in some ways.

I received my CE edition today without any customs charges  And they even sent it in a box...

:woot:

My local post had to put it in a plastic bag so the content couldn't fall out.
Although the package looks horrible the CE only got a small dent on a corner. But I still going to return it... its just not worth the money.

And quite right you are to return it. Get that 68 quid back and put it towards something worthy.

Are you keeping or returning it?
I didnt end up with the CE in the end - sat on updating my card for that one for a few days and decided against it after seeing in hand pictures on here.#
I did offer it out to another member but assume my order has been cancelled by now.

am keeping the steelbook.

slightly hypocritically though, I plan on doing the reverse for Endgame(keep the CE and cancel the steelbook only....purely because its Endgame)

I haven't even received my copies yet of the 4K Steelbook, was dispatched nearly 2 weeks ago. I'm going to be putting a claim in.

Finally got around to watching the 4K disc on the weekend, anyone else find the picture unusually dark?

Yeah same. Had to put the brightness up a bit. I remember it being dark at the cinema too. The scene at the start on the planet is so bad visually

I wonder if they wanted a full 90s feel in tone where films from those years were generally darker

Then you definitely shouldn’t watch the blu-ray :D There are some comparison screenshots (if you haven’t seen them yet) in the uhd captain marvel thread on br.com (page 68).

I’m not sure what you mean. Surely the darkness on the 2D can’t be much worse than the 4K?

I got a new Panasonic 4k set up, last one still with 3d, and I have to say I'm a bit underwhelmed with it all. I even had an "expert" come round to check the settings. My 3d picture quality is far superior to the 4k on the new telly. Have mainly still been buying 3d and bluray discs when I can. Was well impressed with Captain Marvel in 3d. When looking at it in 4k, don't get me wrong, it looked good and certainly wasn't dark, but I much preferred the 3d disc. Gets down to personal choice, I think. In all honesty, I can't be bothered with all the different settings. I simply, just want to load it and play it!
