Christian Bale and wife Sibi Blazic visit memorial site and survivors in hospital in Aurora, Colorado!

Showing what thoroughly decent people Christian and Sibi are, they took time out to make the visit to the memorial site of the disgusting and sickening massacre at the cinema at the weekend and he also visited survivors in hospital in Aurora, Colorado!

As a film fan and a human being I am sickened by this senseless loss of life and really and truly hope the piece of filth that perpetrated this massacre burns in hell!

on the news yesterday, they reported that gun applications grew the day after the shooting by 43%!!!!

but i've changed my opinion of Bale now. i thought he was a bit up himself and arrogant (after reading about his rants and temper) but he's proven here much more than that. totally respect him know

really hope the US rethinks it's gun policy to prevent something like this from happening again!

Maybe they are buying more guns to protect themselves! It's a vicious circle.

With regard to Bale himself, I just think he lost his temper with that guy on the Terminator set. But I actually think he's an honest and genuine guy. Who Seems to wear his heart on his sleeve!

As far as guns go, I hate them. I live less than a mile from a shooting range, usually not too bad, but yesterday, there was firing non-stop from 8am til 7pm, must have had a sale on shells at Walmart. As far as the shooting goes, I have been watching news about the tragedy, and thinking to myself, man the US justice system is Fu**ed up. Why even give the guy a public defender? Defend him from what, people kicking his ass? No trying to get him off. WTF. As far as I am concerned he should not even get a trial, so what if he's crazy, then he won't feel the pain of death. Why don't they give all the survivors and family members guns, and have a good old fashioned firing squad.

US has gotta' re-think its gun law's for sure. Im glad people from the Batman camp have gone out of their way to visit, make statements and show respect for the people hurt and dead out of this pointless loss of life that will no doubt affect the people they leave behind forever.

I hope this bastard gets the needle.

This guy should fry for what he did! Even that's to good for the **** head! As Marcellus Wallace says "go to work on him with some pliers and a blowtorch"!

I'm not a gun nut or anything, I just own 1 9mm Taurus pistol, that my father bought for me about 7-8 years ago. I've literally shot the thing 2 days out of all of that time. People kill people, and there's obviously something wrong with people who feel the need to kill innocents. I think we should be allowed to own guns, but there are definately many guns that the general population should not have a need to own.

What is the gun law in the UK. Police don't even carry them, do they?

Nope normal everyday cops don't carry guns, only specially trained gun cops. I believe they are from SO19 (Special Operations) they protect parliament, airports train stations and that sort of thing & the Royal Protection Squad who obviously protect the Queen, the princes and the other senior royals! But in the Uk guns are banned for everyone! The only places are clay pigeon shooting with shotguns and they have to be kept locked all the time.

I don't think ordinary people need guns, they are just pointless and are not necessary in everyday life! I mean what's the point of walking down the street with a handgun under your coat. What's it for if not to shoot another human being!

You are so right Will. If UK could go without guns, why can't the US? Because now the kids even carry them. I think they should be outlawed, other than for hunting. How about if I walked around with a machete down my pants, obviously I would not have it to cut down bushes.

Although you would have to be careful pulling it out, or it could ruin your whole day ;0) pants is underwear in the UK :0)

Well we don't even hunt in the UK, because we can buy our food in supermarkets already Pre-killed and already to cook! We're so modern over here :0)

The NRA in America is too powerful so you will never outlaw them and there is probably more guns in the US than people.

Well if you had a machete down your pants you wouldn't be cutting down bushes, just whats attached to the bush. Poor Peter! :hilarious:

As for outlawing guns, I say no. I love my Ruger Super Redhawk converted 454 Casull and my Sig Sauer 357Sig handguns.

Sorry but I believe in the right to bear arms. I always have.

Back on topic, I think it was very honorable for Christian Bale to visit the memorial site for the victims as well as the families of those that survived. :scat:

We will never get rid of the 2nd amendment, it's just flat out never going to happen. A state may regulate the way it sells to the public, but that's as far as they can go. I always said that a full psychiatric exam must be done before allowing an individual to buy a gun is a better way to go, but that's just me.

If in the UK they don't allow guns that's dandy and all, but you guys can't compare every situation in the same way. People kill people, whether is with guns or not, guns are simply tools. Are we going to ban all knives too because stabbings occur all the time as well? Not very logical is it? I don't own guns, but know individuals that are responsible and do own some.

True but guns are made to shoot, knives are not made to stab :naughty::p

People with intent to use for same purpose that they use guns will stab ;)

Then they should limit 1 gun per households that want them. Why does anybody need more than 1 gun?

Collecting maybe? Some people like collecting guns. My neighbor has 7 different handguns, he takes them to the desert to shoot them all time, at home he keeps them in a safe. Nothing wrong with owning a gun and being completely responsible with them.
