???It's called currency conversion. Unless you're from the UK you would be charged the GBP equivalent in Euros. Which works out more anyways because the GBP is stronger than the ****** Euro.

Sometimes though the conversion rates can be way off the mark, granted.

Its not even close to the equivalent, thats the problem. I dont mind if its a little more expensive because of the conversion, but take these for an example that i took at random, choosing the cheapest alternative (not even the equivalent merchant)

Zombieland: £13.99 - €21.99
Platoon: £11.99 - €19.93
A-team: £9.99 - €16.78
The Town: £9.99 - €17.99
Close Encounters Of The Third Kind: £10.39 - €21.99
The Little Mermaid: £10.99 - €19.99

In swedish crowns (SEK), thats not just a currency conversion, its a completely different price.

For Collateral the pricing difference was pretty minor and i dont mind paying a little more, but when they charge that much more just for using euros, it hurts the wallet bigtime.

Zavvi gets the conversion pretty accurately, ofc slightly more expensive but not much. Play on the other hand is just way off.

If you live outside of the UK don't bother with play.com
There Sterling to Euro Price conversion is Wrong
I complained before waste of time they don't care
Its not a currency converter they use its third party sellers taking this piss with prices

Difference can be 2-3 times the Sterling price with some third party sellers on Play.com in conversion to Euro price
that's not correct and something should be done about it
Official complaint to trading standards
I can understand slight difference as rates change daily but some sellers on Play.com are ripping of customers outside of the UK

Correct conversion £1.00 Sterling should be €1.20 Euro using todays rate
so £5.00 should be €6.09

Order using Amazon if you want correct conversion used

£5.29 to £10.45
Amazon and third party Sellers
Amazon £10.45

I got it from this seller
£5.68 RAREWAVES
Amazon third Party Seller

Still havent even gotten a confirmation on that it has been shipped.

Anyone had any trouble with Zoverstocks from play.com before? If you read some reviews, several people have written that they just dont give a **** and wont send you the product, or wont even answer your emails.

Have mailed them twice, but no answer.

I've also read bad reviews but my experiences have always been ok! Aside from the fact that when my Collateral turned up it had a dent in the corner (nothing major) probably due to the Jiffy bag packaging!

I ordered this film from them at the beginning of the month. They shipped it out to me 3 days after I ordered the film and it took 10 days to get to me. As stated above the film arrives in a Jiffy bag.

Got it today. Good condition and all despite the jiffybag.
Guess they just forgot to confirm that they shipped it.

Got mine today. Perfect condition and only took 3 days. Play or any company selling on Play do not send out shipment confirmations. You just have to keep on checking your account, if that helps.

Still sais on my account that is "processing in warehouse" so that doesnt help that much im afraid :)

That's not true bought this from a Play seller last week &
I received a dispatch confirmation possibly depends which seller you use.

Got mine today from Zoverstocks (took 9 days), in a Jiffy bag not a mark in it. Looking at my accounvon Play it says that the order is still processing in the warehouse.

I have to say that it is a very nice Steel.

Just going on the last 4 things I've bought from Play. When it was Play you always got a confirmation e-mail, but noticed now that I've never received one from any of the sellers. Sorry to have caused any confusion.

Thanks for the heads up on this - finally got round to ordering it today - can't go wrong for £5.80!

To further confuse people about the play.com despatch e-mails, yesterday I ordered 2 Guns from Entertainment Store and a CD from Zoverstocks and have had despatch e-mails for both of those orders - who knows what's going on.

Just a word of warning about Zoverstock. They usually sell used goods. This may mean that the steelbook may not be in the greatest of condition. Also they mail in the usual jiffy envelopes, not the boxes like zavvi or amazon.

True - I've bought items that were supposed to be 'Like New' that should have been described as acceptable. To be fair to them, they've always offered me a refund without needing the disc back, but these were for low value items (Sub £5).

Has anyone had any problems with more expensive items?
