Just found this, it's a Target online exclusive. It seems to be the same as Future shop.

We need to have more steelbooks in the US release schedule so that situations like this will not happen again in the future :D

Seriously though, I am sure everyone who has an order confirmation will get their order fulfilled in due time.

US folks have been begging for more US release for many years now. The more we beg, the less releases we get for US...:hilarious: I think this year has been very limited releases for US folks compare to the previous years. I think some working in those studios are anti-American LOL...

place my order on 11/18 and just called the customer service to check on the status of my order. The CS rep told me that its backordered (WTF?) and should ship by 12/13. :ohno:

just checked my credit card and there is a pending charge so i can only wait and pray that target didnt **ck me over.

was there actually a limit on how many you can order? could this have something to do with the delay for those who are still waiting.i think ash might be right regarding the 1st orders placed.i ordered on the 24th and had it shipped today.makes no sense that the members who placed it on the 17th are the ones waiting.this needs to be pointed out to customer service about orders being prioritized according to who ordered first.the least compensation they should do for you would be to expedite your shipping for no additional charge especially since you are already paying for more.

I don't believe there was a limit. Yeah, the prioritization doesn't happen that way, unfortunately. As I mentioned with my order, it all depends on how the orders are processed, and what system is used for fulfillment. I am very familiar with the 'behind the scenes' process that governs this supply chain from a distributor side (I don't work for Target but do work on the distributor side for all major international retailers). Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason, it depends on a variety of factors, such as their own system, how the rep processes it, how fast the order moves through the entire chain, from order generation to 'fulfillment' stage, etc etc.

As a consumer, I've ordered from Target many times before, and each time I was not charged the lower price. And phone and e-mail support was always severely delayed or non-existent or 'cookie cutter response-like' unfortunately. The CS reps can't always see 'all levels' deep as to what 'exactly' is going on, because of different system views that not everyone has access to. So this fact definitely creates increased aggravation on the consumer side, as folks are trying to get info....

I'd say if you have not received cancellation notices, your order should still be in the system, but if you're concerned don't rely on e-mail. Talk to CS, and if you get no where insist on a supervisor if it goes on to long.

Edit, and just as a side note-sometimes ship notices are delayed, because of the release date/shelf date clauses. If a customer lives right next to a distribution facility, their ship notice would not come as fast as someone that lives 2000 miles away, because the retailer doesn't want to risk the item arriving before the street date. And, not all retailers guarantee street date (in this case Dec 6) delivery, either.

mine is still not shipped....oh well... I got 3 more roll of shelf space that I need to fill up as this one is a filler.

Man, I wish Target can get their act together on this. For those who have yet to receive the shipping confirmation and have not called customer service, please do (see earlier postings on this thread). Ricker and I had success with getting our orders shipped after calling them. Please note that these orders were placed on Nov 17 and not the later one.

Good luck all!

Thanks Ash, But I do find it interesting that my order confirmation email has a date of 12/17, but in the email it's says thanks for the order you placed on 12/18. WTF? Also my order number states that item has not shipped yet, I was not charged for it yet, but Mary from Target sent me an email stating it shipped and I should have it on the 9th. That's some state of the art system they have there. I would be currious to know what the email dates are for other members.

I'm remembering the "good old days" when Target's website was run by Amazon and everything was fulfilled by their system...

:hilarious:

WHAT??? Mary from Target?? Who builds the Target e-commerce system? Harold and Kumar? I work in the e-commerce space and this is truly embarrassing to me.

The email I received has a subject line of "A shipment is coming your way" sent from Target.com. In the body of the email it states among other details, this:

hello Ashly,
We wanted to let you know that item(s) from order (Order # ---------) placed on 11/24/2011 have shipped. If your order contains more than one item, it may ship in multiple packages—check the details below. You are not charged for items until they ship.
Thanks for shopping at Target.
Team Target

So who is Mary and why hasn't everyone who ordered get one of this emails by now? And they better not have shipped the Amaray instead.

Ash-I am guessing the automatic e-mail you received with the 'item on the way' message is the same one those of us received, whose items are in transit. It's possible Ricker contacted Target by e-mail, and 'Mary' is simply a representative of Customer Service, telling him what she can see in the system to which she has access.

You are correct DB, but nothing on their site has been updated for my account. I don't know if they sent the email just to shut me up or what. I was trashing them on their Facebook page, and bombarding them with emails. I guess I will just have to wait and see
