Just found this, it's a Target online exclusive. It seems to be the same as Future shop.

not meaning to sound stoopid,. I know the collectibility factor of various runs of steels, but whats the big deal about a sticker? If that is the only thing that makes it more collectible. In this day and age I would be worried scumbags can print up stickers and apply them after market? Just sayin.....

Ricker, I think that is what Dbabe is saying to folks to not let the scumbags on evilbay use aftermarket effects to fool potential collectors into thinking the same steel from Future Shop is a Target exclusive.

To each their own that is all.

For me, If its going to be limited to x copies I prefer their being a way to differentiate the release if another Country has the same one and has a huge amount. I love rare items, but not if they are the exact same in another Country.

The USA one might not have CA rating logos on the back paper so that may be one way.

A target sticker would be the best, otherwise you get that mess we had with the John Rambo Media Markt thing - it was a bit harder to tell which was which due to the uncut disc recall and the recycle sticker or whatever...

Ricker, as Wreck said there are just different levels of collectors. Some insist on collecting all versions of a Steel, even if the cardboard overlay on back is different, or if there is a slight difference in the hue of color. Then there are those that only collect 1 version of a Steel (their favorite design, or the one that is easiest or cheapest to obtain).Yet other people don't collect for design at all, they only buy the actual 'movies' they love in Steelbook. It just really depends-collectors come in all varieties. For this one, there was so much 'hype' about the limited qty at Target, that sadly some will attempt to use this as a selling point on Ebay. Inexperienced collectors, who do insist on a specific retailer exclusive could fall prey to this and spend what could be 'unnecessary' cash, when the Steelbook is the same as the FS version-my post was just a warning shot Of course, 'the same' is subjective. Some may see a sticker or slight difference in cardboard overlay as a significant reason to chase down one or the other version (Target or FS, Canada).

Woo Hoo, got my shipping notification from Target. Order was placed on 11/17. Hopefully it's in mint condition when it gets here!

Well Future Shop being in Canada usually has bi-lingual printing on inserts and sometimes on the steel itself and USA does not (English only). This would be a dead give-away that it is indeed the Target Limited Edition.

yeah but my point is it isnt really limited as people may think as the artwork is exactly the same and pretty sure there aint no billingual on the FS version as its the same steel probably off the same printing line.

Just check the pics in the FS version thread. It is most definitely a Future Shop Bi-lingual insert so it will be easy to tell them apart.

I'm pretty sure we've all been under the assumption that the Steelbooks were the same ones. Doesn't change the fact that the US version will still be limited to 500. May it be by insert or by sticker, there will be a difference. That matters to some people.

Exactly - it don't matter as this is a US G2 steelbook baby! It is even more rare than a blue moon!
