Sorry for reviving an ancient thread but I felt I had to share my excellent bargain. I Found a mint copy of this today in my local CEX for a measly €7!! I just spotted it out of the corner of my eye and grabbed it as fast as I could. It's actually really nice, even with the printed back and banner. Bye bye amaray. This almost makes up for my pain of paying full price for the Lifeforce and Blow Out Steels only to see them in the deals section today.

Was this the first ever UK G2 Blu-ray steelbook?

I'd be interested to know the answer to that question too.

This was the first steelbook i ever bought, got it from tesco for £15.00 and when i unwrapped it, it had a dent so i took it back and exchanged it for a mint one:rock

Its a lovely steel but i wouldn't say no to a re release without the blue banner, certificate ratings and printed back, i would love house of flying daggers to go with it too:scat:

Was this the first ever UK G2 Blu-ray steelbook?

I have a few that were released before this one, I'm sure there are more:
- 2008-07-21 10,000 BC
- 2008-12-01 Wanted
- 2009-06-01 Terminator 2: Judgment Day
- 2009-07-06 Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
- 2009-07-06 Highlander

Sweeney Todd 2008-05-19. Pretty certain that was the earliest UK G2 steel

Sweeney todd is the first G2 uk blu ray steelbook. There is a full list of all the releases of all uk steelbooks on a certain "forum" or there is a guy who owns every single uk steelbook so he did videos on the chronilogical order of when they came out (his yt is stingersplash) 20 per video.
