Thanks, your right the movie is mediocre but it sure would make a fine steelbook. I've been playing around with The Abyss some, I'm still trying to come up with some decent artwork though.
It appears that Ber|in made one for The Hobbit but since the link to his image is broken I don't know what he had created so with that being said, I have three variants for The Hobbit.

Dark City, Gattaca, Seven Samurai, Memories of murder, Sympathy for lady vengeance and Mr. vengeance, City of God, Schindler's List suggestion black and white with the little girl in red that would be great, Mr. Brooks, The Deer hunter, Cape Fear, There will be blood, Iron Man 3, The man with the iron Fist, The lost boys, Mystic River, Rosemary's Baby, Blood Diamond, The phantom of the Opera 2004, Taxi Driver, Army Of Darkness, Predators 2, The house of flying Daggers has some beautiful imagery would look great, L.A confidential, Universal Soldiers, Childs Play, Some bruce lee films, I saw the devil, Primal Fear, and Star wars films Darth maul would look great on a steel.
