Well I found out there was a blu-ray steelbook that slipped by a lot of us, if not all. On July 22nd 2008 Daft Punk's Electroma got a g1 debossed (front and back) blu-ray steelbook.

This was specially packaged in a metal SteelBook case with imprinted cover images and includes a 40 page perfect-bound book of stills from the film.

It was released for both Canada and USA.

NEVERMIND, I'm reading now that in early 2010 the title was still postponed on blu-ray.

The blu-ray in itself, (not steel) was released tho in Czech republic.

I honestly don't think $1600 is an outrageous price. John Rambo went for that. And this is 1x Rambo's print run more rare. It is G1 though. If it was G2 I think the price could get in the actual insane range, $2500+.

Lets be fair. This steel does not look like Rambo. But yeah. It's only one. There will be people who would pay high prices. Imagine if it looked better :hilarious: maybe it's just me that thinks its kinda, blah?

I think this is a fake. On the third picture it looks like the blue banner is a sticker and on the pic of the spine the banner is over the logo on the top.

+1 it seems to be the DVD steelbook with a sticker wrapped in a polybag.
Also it doesn't come with the blu ray disc ...

I thought the same thing the banner just looks wrong though my initial thought was that the banner had been oversprayed onto the DVD steelbook and that the raised edge of the blue banner was due where it had been masked and a slight build up of paint there.

The fact it has a barcode on the back may seem to suggest its the DVD version...wouldn't it?

The wierd thing about the barcode on the ebay one is that I can't find any record of it, a search brings up nothing.

The DVD steelbook barcode seem to be 883888000399 were-as the ebay one has the barcode 883888000320

If an HDN member buys it, do they get their own special award?

I propose a special straight jacket award:

:hilarious:

if it never went to production nor to any stores, then it will not show up anywhere.

This reminds me of the Eragon steel that popped up on ebay a year or two ago. I believe that one was a one of a kind concept. The sheer fact that these steels are one of a kind make things interesting!

Yup I remember that one too. With all the technology changes, contracts and artwork phases steels that even become deemed a "sample" are pretty much a thing of the past. Now if you cancel you lose hefty deposits.
