-Do we know which cut of the film is being sold? Woud prefer the Directors cut but neither link even have so much as a runtime for me to try figure this out

I'm assuming this, and 5th Element will both be theatrical cuts mind

Superman III, Superman IV, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Batman & Robin and Catwoman all say Hi.

I don't think there's something innate about DC characters that make for 'better' adaptations, both Marvel and DC have inspired good and bad films. If, on the other hand, you actually prefer DC to Marvel (or vice versa) in general, then I'm not surprised that you'd prefer one's adaptations over the other's.

I ordered this one at Sainsburys along with Abe Lincoln and TFE, my first order with them but their prices are so much better than Zavvi's.

guess I'm one of the few who quite liked the movie, though I dont half see the flaws and weaknesses in it after having seen the Directors cut - much better

I really enjoyed this film too, as I found it to be quite dark and multi layered with a great cast. Maybe its a guilty pleasure and I can't see the faults in it?
