I'm one of them weirdos who's not fussed about no title on the steel if there's a decent image/art involved. Matte finish don't bother me neither if it's clean.. That choice of image on the back though is certainly something lmao. Hopefully single amaray release not far away

I'm fine with the Arrow Matt finishes, not everything needs to be glossy but that back art is a certain type of artistic choice..

I was keeping an eye out for this one coming back in stock but now I'm in two minds, that said the artwork still kicks the crud out of my old Zavvi pop art monstronsity.

Neeeeeee...
Damn picky SB collectors trashing another release. I don't think there will be another 4K SB release of Desperado.

The bluray SB was decent.

Film collecting is about the content for the most part. Artwork choices are subjective. You got to remember this film is about a Mariachi.

Here here. I believe it is a fine release. At first the rear artwork through me off but I quickly acclimated to it. Only caveat is the stupid tape that sticks the j card to the steelbook left a thin layer of adhesive residue and I'm not sure how to remove it. Probably just leave it there.

No, it's about art, booklets, and cards.
I can collect 'film content' on hard drives, and will get better quality, than sold on discs half the time...

You can dab it with another piece of packing tape, tapping fast, multiple times, and it'll pick it up bit by bit.

Rubbing alcohol will help you remove that on steels.

The film content is what counts.

The disc content is definitely what counts.. Unless you are paying a premium for packaging in which case being subjective or critical of said packaging is completely justified in my eyes.

Right, I'm usually paying for packaging, because I already have the title, either on a previous edition (or multiple previous editions), or as a file on HDD, if it's a new film.
Sometimes new extras make it worth it as well, if they're not from 'some guy', or an online interview...

Just got the US version of this, matte finish is of decent quality and the back is actually spot gloss, if you don't mind the artwork.
Normally US and UK Arrow steelbooks are the same, no?

Usually. Spot gloss might help mitigate it lol mine's en route from zavvi, forgot to cancel.

When released same time SteelBook itself is the same finish.

The difference is UK release has BBFC age rating on Jcard and discs while USA/Canada releases does not have the BBFC age ratings

Order dispatched Zavvi still using Fedex International Connect (FIC) for Republic of Ireland

Local tracking number this time has An Post will be doing delivery when parcel arrives in Ireland and is already listed on their tracking system as item information received from the sender/retailer (That means An Post has got the electronic customs declaration in advance)
Previously it was Fastway that handled delivery with Zavvi orders with a delivery address in Republic of Ireland.
