So lately you would have to be blind not to see all the great prices on Blu.

What's your take on it all .... this will be the norm going forward, or just for the holidays?

Starting Jan 1st ... what's your prediction, a rise in price overall or a steady pace?

I dont think they will return to as high as before (well, I hope not.) But I do believe these 15.99 new release pre-orders will disappear and at least head back to 19.99 at lowest.

Of course if the price wars continue then thats another thing.

A lot of BD players will be bought from now until xmas so adoption rate will go way up so who knows. It'll be interesting.

All I gotta say is I doubled up on Goodfellas and Spaceballs

Woot!

Anytime you can get a blu for the price of DVD is a good deal!

Hopefully the price of blu's go down as more people start buying into it... I still am dumbfounded when people ask me, "Is it really that big of a difference?" EEK!

"HECK YES!!!"

What??? Re-releasing for what?

The gangster classic Goodfellas will be getting the special Digibook treatment from Warner Bros for its 20th Anniversary next year in 2010. The film is set to release on February 16th. Anyone who has ever bought a digibook has proabably been highly impressed with their purchase. It seems that when WB gives a film the digibook treatment the transfer is always top notch! I’ve been highly impressed with Dirty Harry, JFK, The Matrix and others. So here’s to hoping for a great transfer!

The digibook will have 34 pages of film facts and pictures. Special Features for this release include:

Public Enemies: The Golden Age of the Gangster Film
Cast and crew documentaries
Trailers
Four Warner Bros. mob-themed cartoons
Commentary with Martin Scorsese
Commentary with ex-gangster Henry Hill and ex-FBI agent Edward McDonald
