2 Guns doesn't have a large fanbase of teenage girls. This does and they don't post here ;) don't expect this to stay in stock long dude. Those girls know about this collectable
Well there are currently 2495 copies available, so I don't see this selling out before release. This compares to 2104 copies of Need for Speed and to just 221 for Raid 2, which is released on the same day.

Did my post say sold out before release? :)

Raid 2 is not a compatible title. It's popular with steelbook collectors who want it to sit next to the first edition and many eBay sellers will have sapped this up due to the popularity of the first hoping this one can be sold for more.

With decline in prices on eBay sellers most likely passed on the other 2, where 6 months ago all of these would have sold out.

Yes the Title is debossed I don't see any indication that it's not... it's just a picture effect I would say...plus never seen a title punched into the steel(embossed???)

you can have embossing without a border, look at the Futureshop Hunger Games D12

You can but studios don't like to do it. The metal is raised so is likely to have problems getting scuffed when stacked next to other Steels. I can't think off many steels that have done this, the border is the preferred method when embossing.

oki I am so confused with those terms, debossed and embossed......when the edges are raised like many of the ES like Strar Trek into Darkness, Jack Ryan ES, Taiwan 47 Ronin with border raise up all around and the title pushed up, what is that ? embossed or debossed.

now people are stating that the shield in CA TWS worldwide release will be raised up so again confused... but if it would be raised up that would not make much sense without a border that is raised like the ES releases right ? but it's not Marvel habitual habbit to do so and cannot picture the release to have embossed shield(that would need to go with a raised up border ???)

Those are debossed (pressed in) but with some areas (like titles, characters) left alone so they appear raised compared to the lower part. Embossed means it's raised up higher than the surrounding area like you see on slipcovers and spine treatments. Some steels might only have a debossed title so only the letters are pressed in.

Embossed usually needs a border

A border can be a square/rectangular/circle

Most steelbooks have the title embossed and also other parts so they need a square/rectangular border to do the embossing

But for example The Hunger Games (District 12) Future Shop Steelbook it had a circle border and the District 12 was embossed within the circle border
It still has a border just happens to be 2 circles to do the embossing
The Title Hunger Games was not embossed so there was no need for the usual square/rectangular border

debossed dose not need a border as its the opposite of embossed

Yes embossed is raised and debossed is pushed in. On 47 Ronin and the others you mentioned the title is embossed which is why they have that outer border. It can get confusing for you think of the border and the title as the raised parts as that would mean the other section is debossed! It gets complicated quickly! I think if CA does have an embossed shield it will have an outer border.

so for example one that would be;

Embossed: Entertainment Store like steel that have a raised border and after the title is also raised...so border prevents title to be scratched ?
Debossed: would be simply something raised like Future Shop Thor 2 that title is raised in front and on the spine

makes sense ?

Put simply, embossed is when something is raised up, debossed is when something is pushed down.

Most Steelbooks that have embossed tiles, also have what appears to be a border where essentially the middle part is debossed to allow for the embossing of the title - an exception to this is The Hunger Games District 12 Edition.
