I would probably enquire about that.Is anyone still waiting for Zavvi to charge their debit card and despatch their order
I still not yet had my debit card charged or a despatch notice
It's not the first time this happens Zavvi sometimes don't send out orders the same time they do it in batches and some not till after release dateI would probably enquire about that.
I think it's crazy if Zavvi are sending out orders in batches when people have been waiting and messed about with this release for so long. In fact, the whole way this has been handled has been ridiculous. In my opinion Zavvi should have offered to deliver all Spearhead From Space steelbooks first class rather than standard delivery as a way of apology. It's not the first time this happens Zavvi sometimes don't send out orders the same time they do it in batches and some not till after release date
Most of the time it's 3-5 days before release date but not always with every release some distributors ship stock to them at different stages
Release date not till Monday so I will have to wait until then if I ask now all I will get is a auto reply it's not released until 25th April
On rare occasions they have more orders than the print run due to their stock control system not show live stock levels and they not listed as sold out but I don't think that will apply to this release

I was once advised by Amazon that pre-orders are sent out to those that placed their orders first, so in effect they are applying a "queuing" system, whereby if you were one of the first to place a pre-order, then you'd get one of the first batches being sent out etc. Maybe Zavvi do something similar. Although, knowing how "sophisticated" Zavvi's systems are (not!), I rather suspect that it's just something more random!Don't Amazon do something similar?
There's been lots of reports of people receiving their orders from Amazon before lots of others have even been dispatched. Sure, you'd think with Zavvi (who only offer one type of delivery option I believe), they'd post the whole lot out on the same day so admittedly it's not ideal. Even so, with the way our postal service works, there's no guarantee you'll get your copy of something the same day as a someone down the road but in a different post code area.
I know someone who lives literally half a mile away, but our orders never seem to arrive on the same day even though we get dispatch emails at the same time.
I've had multiple items despatched on the same day arrive several days apart, so even to the same address it can be pretty random where the Royal Mail is concerned as well.I know someone who lives literally half a mile away, but our orders never seem to arrive on the same day even though we get dispatch emails at the same time.
Amazon definitely do not do send out orders based on those who orderd firstI was once advised by Amazon that pre-orders are sent out to those that placed their orders first, so in effect they are applying a "queuing" system, whereby if you were one of the first to place a pre-order, then you'd get one of the first batches being sent out etc. Maybe Zavvi do something similar. I was only repeating what I was once told by an Amazon Customer Services adviser when I was querying an order once - I wasn't claiming that it was true or that I even believed it! We all know from experience how well informed (not) Customer Service advisers often are! And I'm not blaming them particularly, BTW, or expecting them to know everything. They are often reliant on the duff information that has been passed to, or is available at hand for, them to deal with any type of query.Amazon definitely do not do send out order based on those who orderd first
I know I had issues with amazon customer service with a few releases recently with arrow video releases ones that were listed as sold outI was only repeating what I was once told by an Amazon Customer Services adviser when I was querying an order once - I wasn't claiming that it was true or that I even believed it! I don't know about Amazon but I just think it would be nice when the steelbook had been delayed for so long if Zavvi had offered to deliver them first class in one batch.Don't Amazon do something similar?

Forgot about that one there was also a Season 4 G1 Best Buy exclusive that I have (the season 5 was available in both G1 and G2)
It's a shame they can't do the other classic series story shot on film - the 1996 TV Movie. This is a lot nicer in hand. Glossy. Was pleasantly surprised for once!!
Good shout! It was shot on 35mm film (whereas Spearhead was shot on 16mm film). It's a shame they can't do the other classic series story shot on film - the 1996 TV Movie.
