Anti climax vest describes this release. Only the hard core FACboys will buy the obscenely photoshopped E2 and the expensive Boxset. Wish they kept the original E1 GB as is by just amending the price as it's going to be the first choice for buyers but those who want 2 copies will be forced to buy the other 2 editions.

And £ sinking and just paid an eye watering £52 for AoU as opposed to £42/I used to pay before.

Don't join the GBs then ;)

I think the steelbook itself is quite OK. But I absolutely feel no love for both slips at all. I have to say that I regret having passed Nova for this a bit.
Maybe I'll wait for the BS and then decide...

I'm not liking the lenti at all and I don't like the fact they are charging an extra premium for it.

However I do like the look of the full slip and cannot wait to see the beauty shots.

Don't get me wrong, more than pricing, look at the lenticular. Anyone who thinks it is Karl Urban under that helmet must be insane. I mean it is worse than these Po(o)p arts. Did we really wait an year for this farce? However I am sure anyone like me who wants a spare copy will be forced to join the E2 GB unless E1 GB allocation is 2 per person.

I really don't think the lenticular likeness is as bad as some are claiming.
The nose, lips and chin all look pretty close to Urban's, while not being an exact replica.

It's clearly not from a still of the movie, but I assume there weren't any from the available publicity material suitable, so a 3D rendering was the only available option.

For what it's worth, I think the depth of the lenticular, if pulled of successfully, could be something special and set it above the other releases of this title, as much as I like the Nova Media lenticular.

One thing I have noticed is that FA have Dredd left handed, when he's clearly right!

Nice to honour us lefties though!!!!!:wacky:

As a Karl Urban / Dredd 'fanboy' I like the steelbook and the slip - although a year on it's not as big a deal as it was (I think it now looks like a derivative of the Dutch metalpak). I'm a fan of lenticulars, but not this one. As for the price, I looked on the website yesterday...but having seen the GB prices I can see why everyone is complaining. I'll 'make do' with a full slip (and as someone said, I better get one as I was on the original group buy)

regarding the other comments...Separate discs don't worry me too much as I only watch it in 3D. After all, it's a live action film shot in 3D, not converted, it deserves it (although I believe less than 10% of people watch 3D at home now). Never had a problem with Asian steelbooks myself. And I think it's time we lobbied the government to raise the limit on imports. In the USA I think they are allowed $150 before duty and tax, it's something like £17 here which means with the £ going down almost everything is going to get hit with duty.

With our money grabbing government you'll be lucky bud!

And now the pound's down the shitter, they'll need every bit of revenue they can squeeze out of us!;)

Hey everyone,

Three group buys for Dredd (E1/E2/HardBox) will open this Friday the 7th at 4PM CET / 3PM UK time.

Beauty shots and final artwork for HardBox wont be available yet, but members will be allowed to edit their original sign up posts once artworks will be revealed.

Good luck to all

Best regards

Martin & Karel

Thank you Martin! Just a general question about payment - if we change our order to get another edition and have already paid, would you guys would likely prefer a payment for the difference only, and that amount will be invoiced separately at a later point, correct?
