I'm not going to say it's the MOST beautiful steel, not by a long shot actually. I say this subjectively of course.. I am glad to own it though and it's probably my preferred Dredd steel overall. I do wish the inside wasn't so pants though (n)

If the JP steel had been glossed and embossed, that would have taken the prize, as it's got the best art imo. As is though, it's the Nova for me, especially at the winter sale prices :D

I don't suppose anybody has ever compared the blurays in the Nova release against the blurays in the Filmarena release have they?
If I recall from comparing the transfer with the other versions I have, the 2D version is on a par with the French and Japanese Blu-rays, I.E., not bad and noticeably better than the U.K disc.
The 3D looks slightly better too.

The Nova release being on par with the Japanese 2D? Yes I agree there, fairly sure it's the exact same disc for both PQ and SQ. Certainly better than the UK disc anyway.

I have the nova release, but I've got the FAC release on route as well. I was just wondering if anyone knew if the FAC discs are of essentially the same quality as the nova discs? Particularly the 7.1 96khz english audio.

Ah, I see.
My Nova releases remain sealed I'm afraid and the FAC disk I've just fired up looks much better in 3D than the UK release, although I've only got a 5.1 set-up, so can't compare the audio.
I have just noticed that the standard 2D disc has nasty crack and is now unplayable, which seems to have been sustained while removing it from the box, so caution when removing it!!!

Oh jeez! Thanks for checking, I appreciate it. Do you have an avr connected to your 5.1 setup? Do you know if it flashed up with "96khz" on the display when you started the audio for the 3D version?

Im not sure if all avr's do that, but my denon does when it detects audio over the standard 48khz.

I might possibly be able to confirm that for you later tonight (if no one else can in the meantime)
