Received my copy today, in a bubble envelope, with two big ol' dents in the front. Started the return process with the help of Chrome auto-translate, but I need an address in English to send the thing to.
Amazon JP are using padded envelopes now? That must be a first. But judging from some members its still a total failure...
I really don't know why ppl here complain about EVERY release, ppl always have something they don't like. It's getting played out, I understand ppl have their options, but to keep going on about the same thing is kinda annoying. I LOVE how this looks, who cares about the credits and chapters listed. I think it looks awesome. However, if it was all English I think it would horrible, but the Japanese characters look great.
While I still would have preferred a glossy finish, nothing else so far has bothered me too much. I knew it wasn't going to have 3D. The credits on the front doesn't bother me all too much. It's an interesting choice, but I can deal. The Japanese text for the chapters listed on the inside is actually pretty cool to me too. I mean, it doesn't look like it takes away too much from the art. But I agree if it was in english text, I don't know if I'd care for that.
Like I said previously, I have no regrets getting this yet and I'm still very much looking forward to receiving mine. Speaking of which, my copy dispatched from HMV earlier this morning. Probably going to be awhile before it's delivered, but I'm OK waiting. Just as long as it gets here!

i got mine today! i had better expectations about it but what can you do...now the horrendous packaging is going to give me nightmares lol...guys! this is a miracle i got a pristine copy but i suffered a lot thinking the worst...
I won't be opening mine as I've already got the Australian Limited Edition (comes with a nice slipcover with artwork like it's been done by Jock (y'know, the guy who did the artwork for Andy Diggle's The Losers)).

The reason folk are (quite rightly) pissed off is that the artwork posted at HMV, CD Japan, AMZ and others clearly shows a clean front (apart from the Japanese title and a clean interior. That is clearly not what was delivered. So yeah we are a little annoyed.

I have a Dredd with a dented back. Does anyone have a Dredd with a dented front they would like to sell so I can try cannibalising them to make a good one? Sometimes I feel the need to rip steelbooks apart

This is a great looking edition. Matt, gloss or emulsion, it looks good.
Though after going through checkout, adding gift wrap to get the better packaging, it comes to around £37 ($55) delivered. That's pretty steep. Is this what you guys paid?

I watched 'Blue Peter' as a child in England. It's amazing what you can do with 'sticky back plastic' and a chainsaw.
