Mine worked out at about £50.00 with import duty from HMV Japan.

Took about five days to reach the UK and was then held up in customs for a couple, while I paid the £20.00 duty.

Very well packaged by HMV Japan and arrived in perfect condition.

No complaints really apart from the Nasty UK tax man taking a big bite!

So about £30 including postage originally and then the £20 import duty on top?

I got incredibly lucky, arrived on my doorstep one day from the postman along with V for Vendetta... NO customs fee. no idea why, wish i knew so could do it again!!! was gona sell the V to pay for the customs fee but now think i may keep it. anyone got any idea why customs let me have it free?

I have heard of a few slipping through.

Maybe a bunch of Japanese Dredd steels came through customs at the same time and those lovely people at HM Customs thought they'd flex their might! :D

Keep an eye out. I thought I had escaped the customs fee once but they sent me a letter 3 months later for unpaid fees. Good luck though ;)

It's the luck of the draw, you usually get hit but not always.

That's good, does it have a better 2D transfer than the UK version do you know? As the UK one had both 2 and 3D on one disc.

It's the same 2D transfer as the French edition. The scene with horrible compression as mama is walking down a corridor with one of her accomplices looks a hell of a lot better, still ugly but a lot better than the UK disc. I honestly think it's all to do with the red one camera and the way it was shot. I've since gotten over it over multiple viewings as it lasts for seconds. I would say this and the French edition are the best video quality worldwide.
