Guys,

Just found out about this, not exactly exclusive edition or some sort, but this might count as some consolation for those missing out on the exclusive retailer release :joy:

Purchase Link: YESASIA

This makes the stock of the nova media version plummet. :)

Doesn't this make the Nova editions all the more desirable for completionists like myself who want the Nova Collection?

There's always gunna be shakes and fakes. But Nova's the real deal Holyfield

I forsee, the nova Lenti will settle at $150 and this will settle at $90

Isn't it the same with some Kimchidvd releases? Look at "Leon" or "Her" for example. But I agree, a sticker, name and number on the slip is simply not enough offering for an exclusive limited edition. Smells like exploiting the collectors...

I agree with this. I'm getting pretty tired of seeing this happen. How can we be made to believe these editions are limited to X number of copies when in reality, there are many more out there just missing a sticker? Serouisly? I cried foul when Leon showed up without the number card and I feel the same way here. I would just prefer to know the truth about what they are doing right out front versus having us all find out this way, which causes confusion and mistrust.

As far as T2, there was always a stock for general release which these premium steelbooks "somewhat" looses its retailer exclusivity. Sometimes the only difference is the number card/sticker but the steelbook (and more recently rest of the package--i.e Perfume, Drive) are the same..and to think the bloodbath we had to endure in getting these "beauties" when few weeks after we can get it at yesasia for no sweat at all. :) #collectorproblems :)

I think this version of Drive is from the allotted local stock..& I remember they announced in FB about the licensing issue with KD..I don't think this will affect overseas customers as per their announcement and this probably was not an increase in print run

This trend is becoming bothersome and is going to turn off lot of collectors.
Yup. I guess the only Asian retailer that still feels exclusive is Blufans. KimchiDVD, Plain Archive, and Nova Media all release dumbed down versions of their exclusives. Maybe not for every release, but whenever it happens, it's a complete buzz kill. We usually pay premiums for exclusivity in collecting, but when there's no exclusivity, I question why I'm paying a premium for it. When mentioning print runs, they should include the TOTAL print run for the steelbook, rather than just the steelbooks that come with a sticker (and other low cost extras). Feels manipulative when they don't provide all the info.

To be fair, yesasia is also selling the blufans steelbook of the Godfather trilogy. http://www.yesasia.com/us/the-godfa...se-edition-hong/1033986142-0-0-0-en/info.html

I put in a pre-order with Yesasia. They owed me some credit. I'm sorry i missed out on the Novamedia 3+hr 1-click order fiasco lol. So hey i can't complain it only cost me $33.00 USD. This will be my 4th edition to own to go along with the HMV,Best Buy Popart editions that i already own. I also got in on the group buy of the Futureshop Mondo art edition which i have shipping out next week.
