I'd say "get a life" but I'm gonna assume this is a joke? Why would anyone give a **** if there are 2000 or more than 2000? If you're buying steelbooks as an investment you're a cretin.... There are avenues to invest your money that have much greater returns.
They should re-release these things until all sales are extracted. Physical media is dying, why hasten it's demise so you can clutch your pearls and cry that your 1 of 2000 film box is now 1 of 4000 or whatever...

Don't care if a standard steelbook gets a rerelease, wouldn't care if just the steelbook from this got rereleased, or they released this movie every Christmas in new packaging. Doing a straight rerelease of an individually numbered and stickered item is BS.
Thank you. This is the issue. I don't care if my Steelsbooks go up or down in value. I don't buy them to resell. I open them, I appreciate them and yeah if I buy a nice steelbook that ends up being worth double or triple what I paid, then yean I like the fact I own it. But not to sell, it's just nice to own right.

Bro, I remember you mentioned a while ago that you have mostly (if not exclusively) sealed Steelbooks purchased going back a decade or more. Also maybe you had up to three or four copies of a title which could easily fetch £100s on ebay.

In fairness, this is a poor release, we all know it wasn't great
but the principle counts.You'd have 3500 collectors ordering mafia hits on the geezers at Manta Lab if they ever tried to re-release their previous limited collectors sets again - as much as others would LOVE to own a sold out Fight Club for example, that's a sh*it business model and would certainly break some consumer marketing laws, lent alone trash hard earned reputations.
This isn't quite on the same level but again, it's the principle. It's wrong and that's all.

Oh, I’m not a Star Wars fan haha. There are a couple of alright films but the rest are terrible. I’ve never watched the shows, they looked bad so god knows how bad they actually are.

Yes, they’re all sealed. I’ve always intended to rip them all and create a plex server. Just don’t have the time. I have a partner, other hobbies and would rather spend my free time travelling while I’m still young enough to get the most out of it. I’m at over 500 steelbook titles - not including duplicates - and have been buying since 2014 the more I’ve got the more of a daunting task it’s become. There are so many important things in life. Warner rerealising some mass-produced tat isn’t one of them. I get this is an enthusiast forum but some of you need to get some perspective.
I’m genuinely impressed you remembered me and that I haven’t opened them. I ordered multiples if I particularly liked the design as my first ever purchase had a spine slash. Again I always intended to send the surplus back to the retailer but I quickly discovered I’d rather do something else with my time.
Plenty of things get a second or third print. I’d personally rather see a healthy market with re-release after re-release if it ensures the distributors keep releasing new titles. But if your ****** photoshopped elf art cards and slip box are that important to some of you them I hope you enjoy them haha
What were you expecting to find in this thread which would be so much more worthy? This is akin to a Vegan going to a steakhouse and complaining there's meat on the menu.
One of the most important things for a business is managing customer expectations, if you tell customers something is limited and then in less than a year sell a new batch of exactly the same thing you are going to get complaints. That's a stupid move on their part, what's even worse is they could have put out a new version which actually got people interested in buying more instead of this criticism.
So what your saying you like collecting steelbooks multiple in effect spending money not opening them because you don't have the time with your amazing busy life

Oh I do like art. I grew up in Bristol and was lucky enough to buy many Banksy pieces between 2002 and 2010. I have sold some but kept my favourites. Art is a sound investment AND right now is the time to buy if you're serious you can start with the Urban Art Association they're a (mostly) friendly bunch. You're quiet correct though, buying and selling art has made me a lot of money. It's something I fell into just because, as a student, I liked Banksy a lot.. I've only ever purchased what I like and as I need space for new pieces I sell the older pieces (sometimes at Auction, sometimes through Artsy) I'm not so fond of.
As I said now is the time to buy, there's a discord too if you'd like an invite?
EDIT: Why do I like steelbooks? I thought Blu-Ray would be the last physical media so I wanted to keep the discs in steelbooks because I prefer them to the plastic cases. It costs me maybe a couple of hundred pounds a month - people probably spend more on smoking?
Oh I watch films but that's obvious because I like them enough to buy them right? At the moment we just go to the cinema or stream stuff... the reason I want a Plex server is because the quality of streaming is so poor..
