im confused about the group buy since i've never been in one and i don't just want to sign up for it without knowing, does anyone know how 1 would cost to the uk,tracked? it's the one thing im quite nooby on.
Here are the shipping options Andy posted for the group buy:
QUOTES are for 1 steelbook ONLY.

I will pack in the following manner - case will be bubble wrapped, in a heavier cardboard box.

Please note - with non-trackable shipping - you the buyer understand that I cannot verify it's delivery - as I leave the choice up to you, this is not my responsibility. Insurance can be purchased through a 3rd party if desired.

I will retain proof of shipping for each package.

All delivery times are ESTIMATES only. New quotes provided as necessary.

First Class International (Box) - with delivery confirm to most countries.

-delivery to most locations - 10 - 14 business days, but may take longer
France - $15.08
UK - $15.08
Canada -> $10.76

Insurance against loss or damage is $2 more up to $100 worth of coverage.
For tracked shipping I suppose you could drop him a PM to ask, but these should provide somewhat of a rough gauge. :)

Yup, with Target it's hard to win, because even if you wanted to avoid those scenarios and order online, you usually pay more than you do in store. Speaking of, I don't see a listing for this online, unless I'm missing it.

Couldn't find any online listings for it either, hopefully one pops up soon.

Target security devices...

I know most of the target damage the slipcovers, digibooks, & in some case the steelbooks. From running around on release day so many times, I actually found a target near to where I live & it seems like it gets very little traffic on release days. It has those items that seem to be sold out at every other target, Plus they seem to not use those nasty security devices. That's where I'm going first for Enders game Steelbook, & Thor 2 exclusive slipcover with locki on the front. It's a gem of a place, really. Love it!

I No This Came Out Of No Where But Love Those Target Steel's:drool::drool: SWEET!!!!!

really? because most Target stores have no clue on how to handle steels and 19/20 steels i usually look through at almost any Target store are either scratched, dented, squished in spider wraps, or come with torn shrink wrap. Target blows when it comes to steels.

Yeah the do get unique ones but whats even unique-er is a MINT target steel. :(

However, that will not stop me from trying to find a mint copy of this when it comes out.

So is this the only Ender's Game steelbook, no chance of a UK release?

I've noticed when it comes to SteelBooks the term "exclusive," is used loosely, and rarely have I seen it mean a retailer gets the sole privilege of releasing it. I'd expect to see this get released by most of the major SteelBook retailers throughout the world.

I'm not sure if i want to pick this up in person or not. I haven't had much luck with buying online from target and my local store never seems to have enough copies. I probably will still go out looking for a mint copy tho :dunno:

You also have to look at what studio is releasing the movie. From the info I see on the film, the distributors are either, Summit Entertainment, Lionsgate, or Eone. And none of those studios have huge worldwide releases. Also this will be released in a little over a week and no other retailers show any signs of getting a steel. So chances weigh heavy on this being a true exclusive for the US:scat:.

.........AAAnd of course the second I post this I see HMV will get one also lol. Still may be WWE art though. But doubt a huge WW run.

Yeah, i gotta admit though, I'd really like to see the term "exclusive," mean just that. Hard to get excited for some of these releases when they use the wording the way they do. Glad it means others around the world can get ahold of a copy without being priced gouged on eBay, but they do lose some of their luster when multiple shops carry the same Steel with identical art.

So here's to hoping HMV goes with a different art design!

Man talk about a deluge of Steelbooks, I think there is one every week for the next 4 weeks. Justice League on Tuesday, this the following Tuesday, then Thor, then Catching Fire, and isn't there an Iron Sky too like 2 weeks after that.

I saw this movie in the theatres I was very meh maybe if I had read the book, I might grab it just because its a steel even though the movie seemed kind of trite to me and silly at times.
