Mine had a small paint chip on the thumb edge of the back cover. Just about the only place I could let it go and be satisfied ;P Front cover is perfect. It is jarring to open a steelbook without inside art again...just looks so plain haha...

Bought one for myself and another for my dad today. Neither is flawless. Paint chips on both. The one I kept is not bad but it still kinda sucks that it is not perfect. Lack of inside art is also a negative mark against this one.

Looks cool! UK is getting an HMV exclusive too :)

Great! Now Im glad I kept the movie disc after throwing out the steelbook. Honestly, calling it a steelbook is a disgrace. Its more like very cheap tin, easily dented just breathing heavy on it. The back "art" is a joke. Chipped paint galore, seems like nobody got one ocd mint. And the topper? No inside art. Yeah a total F-U to collectors.

Thank you Target!! :)

With the exception of the lack of inside artwork I'm quite happy with it. I feel no noticeable difference in the thickness or quality of the steel. It has a really nice glossy finish that collects fingerprints like flies to **** just like most good gloss finishes. The artwork on the outside is for the most part nice and clean...particularly the spine which only has the title and is not cluttered up with studio and blu ray junk. I also love the simplicity of the back artwork.

Different strokes for different blokes I guess.

I'm more bummed that Jungle Book is not a Digibook release. Boo!

THIS. Even after purchasing the Zavvi steelbook and receiving my pre-order from Amazon, I was still considering the purchase at Target when picking up the Ender's Game steelbook and was quite excited to find one that hadn't been mangled by Target's inane "security" shackles only to realize that it wasn't actually a digibook but just the regular release with a storybook strapped to the back of it.

And while we're talking about The Jungle Book... what's with calling this a "Diamond Edition"?! This looks like one of their regular cheap-o releases even down to the crap case and shrinkwrap they use for their lesser movies. There's no comparison to other "Diamond Edition" releases like Cinderella, Snow White, etc.

I agree!

I was quite happy with this:

But nevertheless the cover art is solid, the finish is nice and the "solidity" of the steelbook itself is perfectly fine. It *is* a little disappointing to have no inside art with a $20 steelbook (I have less issues when paying $10-12 for matte finish ones at Best Buy) but overall a good release.
