I'm going to go out on a limb and say an Eragon Steelbook, but I could be wrong

Seriously though, seeing as it has a huge STEELBOOK logo on it then it was either for someone thinking about releasing Eragon in a Steelbook or one of the earlier physical examples which was taken to studios in order to show off the product. Just a guess though.

Hmm.. interesting. When I saw prototype - I was thinking something Savano manufactured before they started big print runs. I'm sure there must be a few of these around (even for other movies) as they must do a decent number of pitches to studio's that dont turn out. First time i'm seeing it thou so didn't know what to make of it. You'd think they'd just show them the computer mockups rather than make a physical copy given the costs involved of getting printing templates made and all..
